1) This is not a Spektrum DSM2 product, nor is it a copy of a Spektrum DSM2 product.
The Spektrum and DSM2 brand is a trademark of Horizon Hobbies USA.
2) This is not an underground black market fake Spektrum product.
Ordered it from HK warehouse, got it in about 1 week (Aus).
Comes with an old firmware (<2.0) so instead of flashing i just used an older version of cleanflight i had installed.
Out of the box flies great. I got a DX7s, just hold the tiny little bind button on the quad while plugging in the battery and it goes into bind mode with rapid orange flashes. Then turn put ur tx in bind mode. The rx goes solid orange when it is bound. Heads up if the rx led doesnt turn on at all it means there is no TX connected, it doesnt mean its broken.
Otherwise I connected to clean flight (old version) calibrated accelerometer; then went to receiver interface in CF and adjusted travel on my dx7 so that all channels were in range of 1000- 2000, centered around 1500. Then just fly. Low throttle + right rudder is arm, left rudder is disarm. I connected to the little onboard fpv system with no issues using my Headplay hd fpv set.
I left the prop guard on and cut off the front and back middle parts. Front because it was in the camera view, and back for balance.
Was doing laps of the house in less than an hour. Few crashes and it still goes hard. Hope that helps someone.I purchased this quad with a dmx receiver. It arrived quickly (about a week) and was exactly as pictured. Good quality components and the usual accessories.
The only reason I gave it four stars overall (5 stars for value & quality) is that there was NO documentation anywhere in the bix or online. AFTER, I messed with it for a couple hours, it was flashed with the most current Betaflight file and ready to go. Noe that I did it, I would only take 1 minutes next time. I'm very new to this Betaflight, PC driver, usb cable process.
It flies nicely but has some roll axis wobble on fast lift offs. It gets 4 or 4:30 on a 550mAh battery (the one that comes with the quad).
