Here's one for the nitro traditionalists!

A great flying and great looking model, the Soar 40 will not disappoint!

It's flight performance is very nice with no nasty tendencies at all. Sport aerobatics are what this model lives for, loops, split esse', inside loops and outside loops are all eaten up....Soar on!

The Soar 40 is an all balsa/ply built up low wing sports model for those that are looking for a traditionally constructed sports ARF model. The build quality of this model is very nice with high quality balsa and ply stock used throughout, the firewall and nose cheeks are fuel proofed with an epoxy based paint - a very thoughtful consideration! The vivid highly visible colour scheme, with strong contrasting bottom colour, is of quality re-shrinkable covering.  The kit also includes a substantial accessories pack, including the thick gauge spring steel tricycle undercarriage - with the steerable nose wheel bracket already pre-installed for you.

Assembling this model to be ready to fly should take the average modeller no more than an evening or two to complete. Simply join the two wing halves, epoxy the tail feathers in place, mount your choice of .40-.46 nitro motor and add your radio system - All done!

I finally got around to flying it today after having assembled it about 8 months ago. I set it up with an ASP .52 and it's pretty quick. I lost the manual for mine so I just balanced it at 1/3 of the wing...seems good there. The plane is well mannered and flys very nice. My only complains...... The colors on the covering don't seem to want to stick well even with a good ironing. Also the fuse is week...be careful when handling the plane. Overall a good plane that's probably a step up from a nitro trainer.

I got this plane a while ago, came nicely packaged, it look really nice and the quality is great as well. You do have to do a lot of building and adjusting but that's the fun bit! I've had a few flights with it and it's such a beast to fly and it's relatively easy to fly. I really enjoy flying this, and if you ever crash, the kit is so cheap you can just buy another one! overall it's a must buy!

ive had many planes, from expensive to very cheap and I can honestly say this fly the best.i love this plane so much I brought another as a backup before they all sell out.everything in the kit is useable and reliable, had mine flying for a while now in all conditions from 45 mph winds to rain and she is still going strong.my mate put a 52 asp engine in his and clocked it @ 119 mph mine has a 46 asp and is not far behind it.this whole plane including the engine and servos was under 100 which in my book makes it the best plane available for the money.

Great Plane. Turned mine into tail dragger. Reinforced bottom just in front of wing to mount gear. Added steerable tailwheel and rubber tires. EVO .46 mounted at very front of engine mounts. Added two aileron servos in wings. Had to add 1 0z. of nose weight but thats with a A123 receiver battery. Flies like its on rails. Overall quality is good. Ditch the foam tires and weak clevises. Instructions are good. Light plane for its size. One of my favorites.

Great Hack, balances well with a NGH 9cc gas engine 15mm from the firewall.

Pros.

Covering and trim, Servo plate, wing mounting, overall build quality & fit

Cons

4 Clevises and 2 horns changed, wheels are the foamy electric light weights,

This is a very well thought out model that hits all the right buttons, Mains could do with a little rearward rake, Takes a lot of motor to get the CofG

I would highly recommend this model either as a first low winger or a Sunday HACK for any one.

This model is fantasic...you have to buy one. When I bought it I though it has to be too good to be true at this price...but it is true.

The model is very stable yet aerobatic and flys as good as a WOT 4. It is virtually impossible to stall the one issue I have found is that it is very difficult to get into a spin other than that I have been able to perform virtually anything.

I fly it with an OS46AX which powers it fine. Im not sure is a low powered 40 may be a bit underpowered but a good 46 or 52 is perfect.

No issues with the build quality.

Well done HK. This has to be ine of my all time favourate models... for $66!
