I have seen some negative reviews on this little heli, but I either got lucky or they fixed a few of the issues. I have roughly 20 flights on this guy now and 3 crashes and have had to replace NO parts!! I am always careful to hit throttle hold before it goes in, but so far I have had the swash pop apart, but just pressed it back together, and have bent one feathering shaft, but was able to straighten it. Thats it! This heli is extremely confidence inspiring. I was just a tail in hover pilot when I ordered this, within 2 days I have flown many many circuits and am starting basic aerobatics (loops, rolls, limited inverted flight). After flying this solo pro my Blade 400 feels sluggish. This thing is so controllable its almost twitchy. You can get into trouble real fast but you can get out of trouble even faster! That said the radio sucks! It does everything it is advertised to do, but is not user friendly at all. Programming requires the manual, online help, and a little trial and error! you never know if you are adjusting what you should be or if you are going the right way. Over all, this is a great little heli to have around for trying new things or when you just dont have the room to fly the bigger ones. I flew this in a 10-15 mph wind and while it did bounce around a little it definately handled it well for its size.

This Heli is a scam, promoted to fly "out of the box" , its not controlled at the factory and parameter are wrong. Conclusion I broke it in 2 minutes after trying to fly it. Im not a newby and fly 2 KDS 450 with no problems.

Hobby King doesnt take charge of this knd of prolems so beware.

This is mind boggling: I don't know how this thing fly's at all when the transmitter is set for a 90 degree swash plate but the heli has a 120 degree swash.I bought mine used so I thought that the previous owner was playing with the radio and changed it so I did a factory reset and it still is set for 90 degree swash.Every thing works correctly with this setting and it fly's but I just can't figure this out.

Nice little helicopter. It flies very well, although it will bog at full collective which causes the tail to slow down and lose holding authority. It is also fairly fragile - gears strip relatively easily.

This heli is a very good heli for training 3D flight. Try it on grass. If you crash it, the damage will be minimum. Please, dont expect it to be strong as concrete. If you crash it, it will break...I do recomend it. I bought two, so what else can I say...

Great micro CP. I own 2. Got the second one as a freebie from HK when I bought my 100D. I threw in another charger to get me over $100 and I got this $130 heli for free. How can you beat that???? Hurray HK!!!!!!!!

This heli is very acrobatic and is great to fly in tighter places like my back yard. It flies well in the wind and has superior tail hold over my tail motor 100D and probably a lot better than competitor tail motor designs. The shaft drive tail is superior for control but is a bit delicate in crashes or tail strikes, just like my 450 pro.

My second 180 had a defective tail servo and after 2 fairly bad crashes, I figured out that the servo would just stop working intermittently and then start working again. I replaced it with a spare cyclic servo I had and it worked ok. The cyclic servo is a bit slower but you can crank up the gyro w/o getting tail wag. That helps compensate for the slower servo. Sometimes I actually think I like that setup better than the stock setup. It really just depends on how windy it is that day. The more wind, the better the faster tail servo shines. In low wind conditions the slower servo with higher gyro setting almost works better.

All in all, I have had a good time with my 180 3Ds and they have allowed me to learn CP helis w/o all the heart attacks associated with larger heli crashes. The big boys really come down hard and need a lot

Product was delivered (after a long wait) in perfect order apart from it not working!
The TX and RX do not seem to have been bound and there are no instructions on how this should be done. Binding does not appear to be the same as Futaba or other brands.
The chat help desk, after waiting 50 minutes could not answer my questions and I'm still waiting! Not happy!!
