Here's a nice solution for retaining your canopies and hatches. This is a springloaded canopy latch, it features a brass body with splines to prevent the latch from rotating once epoxied in place.
The locking pin is 3mm in diameter and 7mm in length, the overall body length is 20mm. The release lever is 22mm in length.
