Really super bright led. Tried with a 1S LiPo and still works! Less heat and proper use under 3V using a resistor. Not tried the amp, but with 3V thera is no heat. Impressed!

Good Value!

Only 3 stars for the disappointing soldering quality, otherwise it's a very good buy.
I operate these wired to the 5V arduino output with a 51 Ohm resistor in series (must not take more juice from the APM) and they are still bright enough to be seen clearly in broad daylight.

good result in green LEDs, a resistor 41 ohms / 3 watts and then with 3S betreiben.bei red there is a resistor52 ohms and 3watt. then the LES are perfect
Super to see in the evening and at night. even during the day very good for orienting the copter. but use it only for night flights

Wow these are really bright. I ran them off 5v to see what happens and they are unbearably bright, the heat sink starts to get really hot and the light turns off, for me it started again when it cooled down. I think it may be ok on 5v if there is a cool exposed wind but static is too hot.
I reckon 3v is easily enough as per specification.

Solder two LEDS together in series and you can run off 5v or 6v BEC. Works good!

These are good when run of a 1 S pack. 4v is ideal. However, string three of them in stores and they work will off A 3S pack. Note that the different colors don't all give the same output in terms of brightness at the same voltage, so red red blue will be different than red red red.... They also get warm to the touch when powered by 4 V....
