Real airplanes have round engines and two wings.
If you think so, then this Super Stearman Biplane is just for you! This all balsa and plywood model is quick to assemble and fun to fly. Perform scale aerobatics from flat spins to gigantic barrel rolls with ease.
Modeled after the famous Red Baron Pizza Sqaudron, the longest running private aerobatic team in the world, originally founded in 1979, and finally disbanded 28 years later. The team flew four Boeing Stearman bi-planes painted in white-red livery, built between 1938 and 1943, when they were used as a primary trainer for both the Navy and Army Air Force. The Red Baron Squadron had upgraded their Stearmans with Wasp-Junior engines that put out 450 horsepower, almost double the power of early Stearmans, and an inverted oil system that allows them to fly upside-down.
This nitro powered model is perfect for most .40 cu/in displacement engines, though light enough for an electric conversion. With the major components of the airplane pre-built, just a few short evenings of work installing engine and electronics are all that need to be done.
