I was going to use these in a boat, the Kv is good, drives a 40 mm brass prop with ease on 11.1 volts in a 1.3 metre patrol boat hull excellent scale speed. draws 14 amps on a Raboesch 40 mm 3 blade prop.

They are noisy, the bearings are gritty and the bell is not concentric with the shaft, i get 0.5mm run-out, this means lots of noise and vibration especially at a certain RPM which must be a resonant frequency.
I can live with the bearings they were easily replaced but the bell run-out is not good enough

Sorry Hobby King but this motor needs better quality control

Don't waste your time and money on this one.

It is very noisy.

When I speed up the motor without load.

The noise out with vibration.

It is looks like unbalanced.

I test the motor using 12x6 propeller only 133wattA11x6 propeller 0nly 132watt.

It is not a 262 Watt motor look like.

So the performance is quite low.

Sorry but have to give this only 2 stars. Yes the motor works but that's about it! You can't use 3S because you get virtually NO power out of it and if you go up to 4S to get anywhere near 200watts or more they start to get VERY hot after only a couple minutes. I was gonna use this in a twin setup P-38 but found other motors. I have other SK motors and they've been fine, just don't waste your time and money on this one.

Parameters of winding resistance for this motor, are incorrect.

I have two.. They are exactly equal.

Measured resistance is 185 miliOhm.

Motor is "star" type.

It is quite useless for any higher power.

I may suggest, not to try to exceed 10 amperes.

You may use 4s or even higher voltage... Anyway, for 80 gram motor it seriously underperforms, and it will burn if prop is too big.

This is perhaps the strangest motor I have ever used. I put it in an E-flite Mini Pulse with a 12X6 on 3s. It would barely fly it. When I tested other props on it, i had to go all the way to 14X7 to get adequate thrust. I ended up using 4s and 11X8 to get good performance.

Indeed, wrote to avoid the review:

Engine bearings are not good, noisy operation.

Circuits mounted on the screws are long and meke, allen is now worn out.

Choose another engine waste of money.
