Looking for an inexpensive pan and tilt setup for your next FPV project? Look no further than our plywood gimbal designed specifically for the popular GoPro3 camera. This simple little kit is made up of laser cut plywood parts that just need assembly. You just need to supply some glue and a couple of inexpensive 9 gram servos and you'll be panning and tilting in no time flat. Take advantage of that head tracker unit on your goggles with out breaking the bank. Though the camera is held secure, the back plate is open, allowing unfettered access to the micro SD card slot and USB connection.

Set includes laser cut parts, anti-vibration balls, hardware, and instruction CD.

Specs:
Dimensions: 100x72x67mm

Good value but flawed

Haven't built mine yet as I intend to make some mods. The kit as supplied needs a small bearing to complete which isn't included in either of my two kits. There's also mention of anti-vibration balls. These were not included either.
Since I really need a roll and tilt I intend to use the camera mount part and alter the rest of the design. I also don't like the obvious stress which this setup will put on the servos and will alter so gravity will assist the leveling action. It won't be much like the design when done but the kit gives a good start and useful parts to work with.
BTW it's almost worth the money just to watch the video of the build. How that guy manages not to glue himself to the gimbal I don't know.

The pan servo is way too small, it rips off after every landing. The tilt axis layout results in continuous force on the servo, causing jitter sometimes at certain angles, destroying video quality. I recommend moving the tilt mechanism back so that the CG of the gopro is over the servo's CG. I also recommend catering for a larger pan servo and shouldn't be carried by the mount itself but should be installed in the plane.
