Product Description

The ToolkitRC Q4AC is a 4-channel (Quad) smart charger that will independently charge/discharge 4 batteries at the same time. The Q4AC has a built-in 100W power supply that allows it to be powered from a 100~240V AC mains power source. It also has the ability to operate on a 10~18V DC power supply which is perfect for charging at the flying field, race track, or boating lake.

Navigation and programming of the Q4AC 4 menu channels are made very easy with the wide-angle, back-lit, IPS 3.5"x480x320 resolution full-color LCD screen, and metal scrolling wheel. A wide variety of different chemistry batteries can be charged, these include, LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, Li-ion, and LTO (Lithium-Titanium-Oxide) @ 1~4S, NiMh @ 1~10S, and Pb @ 1~8S. With a DC power input the charger operates as 4 independent 50W channels, this gives a combined total output of 200W. With an AC power input, the charge power is reduced to 25W per channel, this gives a maximum for the charger of 100W. However, 2 channels can be combined when using AC to produce 50W or charging power.

Because each channel is completely independent, different parameters can be set for each of the 4 channels, this includes charging or discharging different chemistry batteries. Inputs include an AC mains socket, a DC XT60 socket, and a micro USB port for updating the firmware, outputs include 4 x XT60 charging ports, and 4 x 2~4S balance ports. When required, the powerful, intelligent, high-flow cooling fan cuts in at half speed when internal temperatures of the charger exceed 42°C, this will then switch to full power when temperatures exceed 50°C.

The ToolkitRC MQ4AC quad balance charger/discharger is a must for every modeler's workshop due to its versatility of being able to charge, or discharge 4 batteries simultaneously, and independently, its ability to run from AC and DC power sources, and its easy-to-use, intuitive programming menus.

I love this charger!

Great 4 port charger! Handles multiple different charging\discharging tasks at the same time. I can be charging a 1s 180, doing a storage charge on a 4s 450, doing a deep cycle on some NIMH cells, and discharging a 3s 1000 all at the same time. Setup is simple and intuitive. If you can solder up adapters, then this is the charger for you.
My only real complaint is the fact that to do a storage discharge on 1s batts, you have to make an adapter that hooks up to the XT60 port and the balance port at the same time, that's just kinda weird. Also, I was a little worried that it just has a long open plug for 2-4s balance plugs, took a bit to get used to. You have to plug the balance plug in with the alignment pegs facing the table. but all those picky things aside, I'm totally satisfied.
