TP2915_6

Nov 14, 2007

I love this motor! It is solid. I use it on a cularis glider. With this and a 3 cell lipo pack and the stock cularis prop, the cularis will climb at about 35-40 degrees. i did have to reverse the shaft, but not a big deal. I have had it for a few months now and no problems to report- still very happy with it and will probably buy the TP2915_5 very soon just to give it a try in an ultrafly yak.

Tower Pro otor review

Nov 14, 2007

This is a very powerful motor for its physical size. I fly a Sig Seniorita with it. It just jumps off the ground at just over half throttle using an APC 9X4.5 E propeller. WOT current is 38 amps using your HXT D9 G2 4100mAh 4S 15-25C Lipoly Pack. This setup gives 15 minutes of fly time while flying at half throttle. The motor is just a little warm after landing.

I was very surprised and happy at how much power this motor produces.

Great Motor for Polks C-47

Nov 14, 2007

I have had these for a year now. I put them in my Polks 6foot C-47. I am running 2 x 4000Mha 11.v batteries with seperate bec. These things are more then enough. I am getting 500 foot verticle climbs and can cruise around at 1/2 throttle. I have been getting 2 flights in on the same packs at 13 minutes. And still have plenty of battery left.

After Running

Nov 14, 2007

After hooking up and testing 2 of these motors on the bench, in two different motor gliders, we found:

9x6 APC prop - 33.8amps - (355watts)

10x5 APC prop - 36.1amps - (375watts)

Tested using the Watt Meter & Power Analyzer (Watts up).

Both systems only slightly warm to touch after 20 sec full throttle.

Both are using:

TURNIGY Plush 40amp ESC's and

HXT 4100mAh 3S (not sold anymore?)

At the field: Both gliders have a strong 30 to 45 degree climb angle at full throttle. VERY NICE!!!

Have Fun!!!

2915-6 motor

Nov 14, 2007

I use this motor in a 3Lb ( 1.5 Kg)plane designed for nitro. With a 12*6 prop it pulls 45A and 420W at full throttle. I get unlimited vertical at less than full throttle.Awesome motor.

11*5.5, 10*5 also work well.

2915 6 motor

Nov 14, 2007

I have installed this motor in a 2.5 metre glider. It now climbs vertically and gives long flights, the motor ocasionally is run at half throttle. I can get flights for as long as I want, the most climbs in one session, being seven, only limited by me, not the battery! The motor looks as though it will last as long as a 2914/5 I have in another model. I am very satisfied with Tower Pro and United! excellant value.
