As with most track star electronics I was thoroughly impressed with its features size and durability. Works flawlessly in my stadium truck, I would highly recommend the speed control to anyone looking for a high-quality waterproof ESC

As you can read in my discusssion entries, the manual and description is totally misleading and incorrect. With this fact I cannot recommend this ESC.
For short: Not 2-3 LiPo just 2, program box give wrong ESC type (maybe it works with the program box V2, but there is NO description about that), confusing LED blinking (not over temperature just "blinky mode, was hard to find that out). So Hobbyking: Just do your homework and give the customers the right specs and documents.

Not very happy with this one. Have a HSP 1/10 Truggy which we upgraded to brushless using the Hobbyking 80A ESC/4000KV motor kit which we are powering with a Turnigy 2-cell 20-30C LiPO. After this original ESC just burst into flames the second time we took the car out, we replaced it with one of these. After plugging it in I pulled on the throttle and the wheels barely moved so I put it in reverse and again the wheels barely moved. Pulled the throttle on again and after the wheels started slowly turning again I heard a "Pfft"sound and saw a small puff of smoke come from the ESC and that was the end of that! What do I do now having had two Turnigy 80A ESCs just blow up on me?

The heat sink was very hot when it blew, even after only trying to get the wheels to turn for about 20 seconds in total. Also, after plugging in the battery and turning the ESC on, the red LED just kept flashing which I now know is "temperature protection" mode but why would this start straight out of the box immediately after turning it on for the first time?

Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
