Digital brushless servos, the ultimate in precision and holding power. Trackstar is now bringing 2 brand new digital brushless servos for 1/8th and 1/10th scale off-road applications. These robust servos feature full alloy cases, dual ball bearing output shafts, and a titanium helical gear train.

Why Helical Gearing?
In full size automotive applications both manual and automatic gearboxes use helical gearing for smooth and quiet operation with less power loss resulting in a longer life cycle for the gearing. TrackStar uses the same technology in this servo to provide extra quite and smooth operation with excellent holding power.

The TS-940HG is a standard size servo perfect for 1/8th scale truggy and monster truck applications. We include multiple different servo arms and a complete mounting hardware package.

It came back to life after 4 months

Nov 04, 2018

Cleaned the battery connectors & it came back to life. The microcontroller is more sensitive to power supply glitches than brushed servos. 1 glitch & it's gone until you power cycle it. A few hundred more miles of driving were flawless. It's lasted longer than any brushed servo, but the price has risen $30 in the last 4 months.

died after 2 months

Sep 06, 2018

Fast & efficient. Much longer battery life than a brushed servo, but died after 400 miles of driving. Seemed to be a problem with the microcontroller rather than any of the mechanical parts. Too expensive for its lifespan. Cheap brushed servos have lasted longer.

Update, well it didn't take too long to break the gear. Maybe not a great idea for 1/8 buggy for steering.

Very fast and strong. Servo was a tad taller than the Hitec it replaced (7955). So fast I had to turn down the speed in the radio. Working great in the 1/8 nitro buggy.

This TrackStar TS-940HG servo has full alloy cases and titanium helical gear train.

Very strong and speed is good. Only time will tell how this will hold some abuse but sofar all is good.
