Easy assembly - all parts has a perfect fit. Same size, but lighter than a AXN-Floater and flies much better( both slower and faster)! I used a E-max CF2812 ( mount epoxed to the firewall ) giving unlimited vertical performance with a 3S1500mah. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced!

My first 15 star score ever this is a fantastic medium plane i have used an ex Floater jet motor with Bgrade 2450 30c 3cell with 6x4 prop and it flys both slower and faster than the FJ. after getting used to it i put my FunFighter replacement motor and HK 50a speedie with a Bgrade 2650 mAh 40c 4cell lipo and 5x5.5 prop it rips up the sky great noise and speed .. i dribbled some super thin cyano where the wing tube is attached to each wing and aadjusted all servos for 120pcnt travel and i use from 30 to 60pcnt expo. the inherent stability of the super simple design mean rolls r wobbly unles u use rud correction but it loops and banks like is is on a monoDoh in the sky. One of HK's Best Value Planes EVER .. Ps $3.00 servos all round

Gesamteindruck sehr gut.

Aufkleber ordentlich.

Just finished building it and surprisingly the clevises and Horns were good quality. Everything went together really well. The EPO is a nice dense foam and pushrods were fitted without any binding. Terrific surface movement on Ailerons, elevator and rudder. Not often all three dial up spot on. Good air venting. One in and two out. The motor was a little awkward to fit but what I normally do is push an extra long bolt through the inside of the fire wall, screw it into the motor, then feed the wiring through the cutout in the firewall then pull the long bolt back so the motor slots into place the the other holes are very close to lined up. I had to change the prop for one with a bigger fitting as I used the NTM motor with a 4mm shaft and the supplied collapsable wouldn't fit. The tail section slotted in spot on straight as a die. I added a little carbon fiber rod to the elevator and ailerons for extra support and laid a 50 mm strip of extreme packing tape to and bottom of each main wing. I also added a 25 mm strip of tape to all leading edges for protection and ran two layers of tape along the belly as I will be using it as a belly lander. All that's left is the decals and a little orientating colour on the belly and it should be right to go after Christmas. A nice simple, no fuss build and at a good price.

Just flew the Triwon for the first time. 28mm brushless, 35Amp Esc, 4 HobbyKing metal gear servos and a 1500Mah 3s Lipo. Maybe a bit of overkill as it flies well at about 40pcnt throttle most of the time. I would say my set up has it a bit nose heavy but no problem flaring and it still wants to climb constantly. It does aileron rolls but as someone said the inboard ailerons make for a pretty slow roll rate. I would consider this it's biggest flaw. Someone said it has wash in causing the tips to stall first but they are more like winglets and I didn't notice any bad stall characteristics. With my forward C of G I couldn't get it to spin properly. I wish I could have got the battery farther back. I didn't try sustained inverted because I was flying in a tight area but I think it's going to fly inverted well. As for mounting the motor I found it a bit of a pain but not that big a deal. The 28mm fits nicely inside the nose. Unlike the foam Cessna (bought somewhere else) that I have, it has little if any adverse yaw so you don't need to feed in much rudder for coordinated turns. The foam Cessna I have has the worst adverse yaw I've ever seen. Anyway, for the price I think it's great.

Got this as a wrong item delivered, and then again upon re-delivery. That's how messed-up HK CS is. Seems like they were trying to clear stock of this plane cos it is such a PITA to properly mount a motor on it. No wonder they keep sending it as a wrong plane to everyone who ordered something else similar! But once you can get through a way to mount the motor and get it flying, it rewards you with the ease in launching and a stable flight. The stock folding prop hinge broke on my first launch attempt so I had to order a metal spinner. On 2nd my attempt, it noose-dive shortly after take-off (pilot error) and crashed head-on causing the motor mount to break, the foam to crack & split, and both the ESC and motor to fail. After repair & reinforcement, it finally flew well on my 3rd attempt today. This is several months after it first arrived. It's probably going to be a discontinued model, so my review may just be the last one here and won't be of use to anyone else since no one can buy it anymore. So thanks for reading my rant! Haha. See the files tab for my custom paint work which makes it look better than using its ugly original decal.

The Triwon is very solved and easy to build, but I am afraid it has serious issues.
The user manual is negligible, e.g. it does not say where the CG has to be.
It has wash-in making the tips stall first.
The ailerons are very ineffective because they are near the center and not near the tips
The AoA is 3 it means that it behaves differently when power is applied.
