Don't let its small size fool you. This is a serious 1/16th Nitro Racer!

We've taken this great little nitro buggy and made it even better with an upgraded .07 engine! The Turnigy 1/16 4wd Nitro Racing Buggy now offers more power and a higher top speed, just what you need to satisfy your power hungry appetite!

Starting with a Japanese made pull start .07 ci nitro engine, tuned pipe, shaft driven four wheel drive - with steel shafts and disk brake, this little buggy ticks all the boxes. It has a great range of adjustability out of the box, such as: adjustable upper control arms, shock absorber fulcrum, shock absorber pre-load, rear suspension roll center and adjustable down stops.

A quick look over the images will demonstrate the inbuilt durability and over-engineered components such as the suspension arms, shock mounts and bulkheads. It's built more like a 1/10 scale racer than a 1/16th!

This car arrives ready to run, completely built with the high torque steering servo, throttle servo and all linkages pre-installed/adjusted. The included Quanum 2.4GHz 3Ch radio system is pre-installed as well. Just add 8 AAA batteries, fuel, a glow plug driver and your ready to rock!

I agree with you. The car mechanics is very interesting. But to start its motor, that's a nightmare. I even bought on ebay a kit to replace the pull starter by an outside electric starter, and I installed it. It worked once or twice, and again the same problem: the one-way bearing stops working. I did lot of times lubricated this bearing, as the manufacturer argues. At last, I gave up. The car is just taking place in my garage. What a pit. This bearing kills this magnificent car. Hobbyking should fix it.

Dont waste your money on it. I bought one for a christmas gift and it wont run. I got it started one time and now it doesnt start anymore. I had to order some parts for it and it takes forever to get it. I will never buy for this site again.

This little car is far from being perfect. Out ot the box it has 2 problems:
1- The springs of the clutch are too delicate and mine broke during the break in process. You can easily replace them with standard 1/8 clutch springs.
2- the one-way-bearing of the pull starter will stop working after 6/7 tanks (if you are lucky). But simply cleaning the bearing will solve (temporarily) the problem. I clean it with what in Italy is called "Svitol".

After solving those problems... The car is really fun to drive! Apart from the pull starter issue, the engine is really reliable and starting it is the last problem you will have with this little buggy.

Final thoughts? I don't recommend it as the first rc car for a guy new for the hobby,
in general smallest is the car, bigger are the problems.
But, if you have some experience with rc cars, you can have plenty of fun with the turnigy 1/16 nitro buggy!

Very well designed buggy. But has some issiues when arriving in the box!!
Three of the shocks were empty of oil?? One clutchspring broke during the first tank. Resulting in hard starts and no idle. Worst of all was that the steering servo cable was pinched in between the radiobox and the lid so bad that it resulted in a short between the signal wire and positive. The reciever jammed at full throttle during the second tank ending at full speed on my neighbours rear wheel of his parked car. Front suspension in fragments!!!
Dont get me wrong i still recommend this awesome buggy. But please check it from front to back before startup!! Best regards Mike

The Rc car is fantastic. The one way ball bearing is a piece of shexx. It is broken in a couple of starts...

This little beauty is more like a piece of jewellery than a buggy. Very well designed, with precision befitting it's scale. A little hard to start, but fierce when it gets going. With a little bit of carving, trimming, and bending, ground clearance can be maxed out for use in grass, provided you have a drawer full of HSP shocks to work with (cheap) like I do. The stock shocks are actually quite good, but won't give that extra 10 mm of travel that the suspension will easily accomodate. Put a flap of vinyl bumper sticker under the shock piston for good rebound damping.
