Fun truck, I got on sale for 90 USD, and it starts and runs when i want it to. Nothing special, but for a cheap RTR I did think i would get something that ran.

Small little nitro car! Is fun to ride.

But you need to know a few things about RC-Cars to keep it running. Due to the small size it's tricky repair or change parts!!

If you're new to RC Nitro cars and just want to fuel and bash then move along as this car is definitely not RTR.

As mentioned on the international HK website the pull start starts slipping after a few pulls, but can be fixed by sealing the OWB using heat resistant silicone and replace the brass bushing inside the backplate with two bearings.
Once this is done the engine will start flawlessly every time but if you modify or clean the engine and take it out for repairs you will notice the exhaust gasket will tear over time if removed and it's not available as a replacement part.
The pinions on the diffs strip as soon as you start taking the car for a bashing session but they can be replaced easily and are fairly cheap.

It may sound a little odd but even though this car has some issues I love it since it keeps me busy.

Bought two of these cars during the summer sales. They are pretty good except for a few rather serious issues. Definitely not beginner / "serious driver" friendly at all.
1. The springs on the clutches available from HK break all the time on one of the cars, 7/8 times of driving... pretty bad and tedious. Definitely replace them with proper ones as suggested by others suffering from the same issue.
2. One way bearings started slipping badly on both cars very soon after break-in. Had to order proper ones from ebay.
3. The metal drive gears broke down on both front and rear differentials simultaneously on one of the cars.
4. The air filter foams are very badly cut out, pinched from the sides and too small for the housing. One of the engines got filled with sand the first time driving after break-in, even with proper air filter oiling.

Other than that, the motor is pretty nice for the price and the car is fun to drive, when everything is working...

Upon receiving and unpacking the only complaint I have about this truggy was the one of the shocks was not sealed tight all the way, therefore the shock was empty, tightened it up, filled it up, all set. All the screws were securely tightened, clutch bell to spur gear mesh was perfect, differentials had a decent amount of grease, although i added a little more. Very similar nitro buggy (own both), but like they say everything is beefed up, larger dogbones, wider stance, longer wheel base, no plastic mud guards, their integrated in the chassis plate! Very satisified for the price! Cant beat DHL shipping speed for the price! Thanks Hobbyking!
