Getting 1/28 tyres to fit their rims can be a pain in the...neck, they are often very tight and by the time you have fitted four your fingers are begging you to stop, based on the tool they use in the factory to fit these tires the Turnigy 1/28 Scale Car Tire Applicator takes all the effort out. Simply place your rim on top of the cone section then slide your tyre down the conical end, this will stretch the tyre enough to simply slide over the rim. To ensure a secure fit run a thin CA glue around the bead on both sides.

We have also discovered that used in reverse the applicator can be used push on drift tires. Place your drift tire on top of the cone section, with or without the spacer piece depending on the thickness of the tire, then put your wheel on top of that and then by simply screwing down on the knurled compressor the rim is forced slowly and evenly into the tire. To ensure a secure fit run a thin CA glue around the bead on both sides.

The tyre applicator will work on most 1/28 sized on-road tyres, including Mini Z.
