I put this small motor on my Bonsai togehter with a Plush 10A speedcontroller and a Rhino 3S 750mA Lipo. I used a 6*4R APC style prop in the back.
The setup works really well and gives the Bonsai really good speed. Aproximatley 10-15 min of flight time. It is also fun as a small FPV flyer. Just put a Fatshark600TVL in the front and a Immersionrc 5.8 transmitter in the back and you will have a lot of fun.
When I tested it static full throttle the amp metre shows 10A.

These are the standard by which other 28 gram motors are measured. The 1700 kV version is very flexible, being used on all kinds of planes from slow flying 3D up to pusher park jets. I have also used the 1300, 1500, and 3000 kV versions of this motor to good effect.

Sorry, no thrust numbers for you, but I can testify that these will do a hundred watts easy with room to spare particularly if they are exposed to cooling air.

Solid little motor. Works rather well with 2 & 3s packs when used with an 8*3.8 and 8x4 props.

Make sure you check all the small allen set screws one was slightly loose on mine.

Also pick up extra prop saver o-rings when you order!

Used this on my scratchbuilt delta wing, plenty of thrust but nothing crazy. Perfect for learning too fly flying wings.

I have the 1300 and 1500kv versions of this motor but my favourite is the 1700. With an 8x4 GWS DD prop it is more than enough power to hover a 190-200gm 3Der plus it has the extra speed for more dynamic flying. On 3s it is ballistic with the same prop. Haven't checked how many amps it is pulling but it comes down warmish (not hot) after 5-6mins of FAST flying with some throttle management.
If you like speed and unbelievable punch out power, GET SOME!
