I have ordered two of those. Surface finish is seems better as the picture. As stated below some are not balanced properly. I have one that runs beautiful, one is vibrating. On closer inspection the vibrating one has the back plate of the rotor mounted out-of-centre. Removing the 3 screws and re-adjusting the back plate fixed this. The motor runs excellent now.
I will be fitting those on 28mm Kehrer Jets, with Turnigy 120A ESC and 3 or 4S lipo, in a 110cm lifeboat. First (static) test shows plenty (too much) of power on 4S 5000mAh. Nice motors :).

Good quality motor, nice thick 5mm shaft. Pulls around 70a on a good 4s LiPo pack with a 7x6 prop! Pretty fast! 8x6 goes over 1000w but the shaft tends to let go so best to stay with a 7" prop max. Some reviews stated poor quality and balance but no issues with mine. Very happy with it! Thanks Hobbyking

I actually have this motor in a Graupner SpeedCat (pylon airplane), works fine with a 7x7 propeller on 4S, 220 km/h so far, will try 5S soon.

Not bad for a 16$ motor.

CS12 blade fan with turnigy 3025-1500kv motor here's the results (installed in the airframe) with brand new 6S 5300 60C packs. Peak - 103.85 amps 23.3 volts, 2420w settling to 95.0 amps (2215w) after 10 seconds. Thrust was right on 3.25kg which is slightly better than 1:1 After 3 min mixed running - 89.9 amps 21.2 volts, 1900w After 5 min mixed running - 87.8 amps 21.1 volts 1850w Thrust was down to 3.0kg. Five flights and no problems. Motor performs perfectly. Flight time are around 5 min

Report on the L3025 1500kv
<br>
I balanced out the CS12 fan with the HK motor (here) for a buddy and it went in a CMPro T-45...the AUW was a little over 7.25lbs
<br>
The motor and fan flew the plane like a champ, good vertical performance and no one would think it was a 50usd fan\motor pushing the plane during fast passes no doubt were in the 120s -130s shallow dives
<br>
Temps came down around 120 - 140f....he took temps right after coming to tables so there wasn't that much heat taking off the motor.
<br>
I wouldn't go over 45c packs, I think the motor is already being stressed but the thrust to weight is REALLY REALLY good for the price....I was impressed.
<br>
I like to go to field with multiple packs...looks like the motor will do a little over 5 lbs 10oz of thrust on 5s too...

I used this motor in a Trex 500, after flying 450 and smaller helis for some years. The performance of this setup, albeit the heavy 500 model, is really impressive.
So the 1300 W looks like a realistic figure, but the power comes at a price, naturally: The current drawn is much higher, even on a 6S setup (using 2x 3S cells otherwise used in 450 helis).
Consider shorter flight times than on a 450 with only one 2200 mAh battery, like 5 min compared to 7,5. Battery rating should be 30C or better, otherwise you will get heated cells and a short life.

Excellent motor for the price. Using it on Trex 500 clone (SKYA 500) with 6s 2650mAh lipo and 13t pinion. Surprisingly the motor barely gets warm during scale flying. So far i am very happy with it and considering its price, there is nothing more you can ask for. Two Thumbs up!
