Can't say much for longevity as its only had 3 batteries through it, but I'm using this on my HK450FBL with a 15T pinion and 4s.
Seems good so far. The 2218H 3450kv I had before was way overkill, even with a 11T pinion.

Looks and runs very well I'm using it on a scratch built 30mm water jet design. Ran at 27 Amps on a 3C very cool running. Didn't have a thrust rig setup but its way more than an NQD 20 mm delivers, and at lower RPM

I have this in my Mini Protos running on both 3s and 4s using a CC ICE 50. For 3s I run 2400 RPM for nice smooth flying. On 4s I'm running 2900 RPM and it's pretty much a rocket. According to the data logger in the ICE my peaks are just under 800W at 52A (I need to dial down the collective pitch a pinch). It comes down hot after flying on 4s, mainly because with the 16T pinion I'm having to run at too low of a throttle. On 3s it comes down warm to the touch.

I'm using 8KHz pulse modulation with normal timing. On low timing it has a habit of spinning up in the reverse direction. Doesn't hurt anything on a heli, luckily, but it took me a while to figure out what was wrong.

I need to retract my previous review where I said it came with an open winding...it didnt! I poked around it to see what was wrong and somehow I managed to install a no-continuity bullet connector. How I managed to do this I have no clue...but I guess sticking a wire into a pool of solder can get messed up sometimes, hmmmm????

Anyway, my motor runs. Measured no-load KV is at 2115, no load current at 2.11A at 11.08 volt. This is an 8 pole motor.

Well, it's a motor. Couldnt tell how good it is because it doesnt work, 2 known good esc's couldnt get it started, seems like one of the phases is open. Of course HK says they want it back before considering warranty on a brand new motor just purchased and never used...and shipping costs make this a foolhardy proposition. It might be simpler just to order another motor from HK and hope that it will work? Or just get a quality brand motor like possibly Scorpion and have it actually work on arrival. Thanks Hobbyking!

Really great motor for new miniprotos-450 on 4S. 15teeth pinion is the max that can be used. This combination gives outstanding 3500rpm headspeed. Real tasmanian devil , call it "TAZ". 1600mAh per 5minutes of brutal 3D flying. Motor is little only about 40celsius. Not warm/hot like scorpion ones.

Good efficiency.

Great engine! hobbyking if only to realize it would be perfect for EDF 2250kv 70mm, because they get to 1350g. a real boost.

Rcvd it today after more than 20 days of ordering. Ordered from Hong Kong and it TAAKKKEESSS a long time to get it. HK will need to come up with better shipping strategy.

Questo un gran motore:

1) costa poco
2) su edf 70mm 5 pale f 24A a 6s e 1,2kg di spinta.
3) resiste a voltaggi alti.
4) leggero
5) ben bilanciato

Assicuratevi di usare un mozzo per albero motore affidabile con grani da serraggio se lo usate su una edf.

This is a great engine:

1) cheap
2) to edf 70mm 5 blade 24A to 6s ago and 1.2 kg of thrust.
3) resistant to high voltages.
4) is light
5) is well balanced

Be sure to use a hub hex to shaft by tightening screws with reliable if you use it on a edf.
