After waiting more than six weeks on backorder, I finally got notice this item was available,so I ordered one right a way. The motor came a week later and I immediatly set up a test using 6s battery. The motor started right up and began to growl. Suspecting a loose magnet, I discovered the motor would turn CCW but not CW locking up in that direction. Upon disaassembly I found two gobs of epoxy on the armature that had knocked some plateing off of one of the magnets which in turn caused the motor to jam in the CW direction. More than two hours to get this motor running!

Inexpensive motor, YES BUT, I would think that with a labor force numbering in the millions, a few bodies could be employed for quality control!!

18x10 Maro 56 Ah

On 8S Lipo with 18x10 Turnigy 56 Ah

Some more measurements. It runs at 3620RPM at 11.8V, so mine has a kV of about 306. It's uncommon for the KV to be lower than advertized, right?

It consumes 1.4A at no load at 12V.

These tests were performed with an HK SS 8-10A ESC. and a lab powersupply as a power source....

(as mentioned before: 50 mOhm of static phase resistance).

Perfect motor !!

I use it in my H9 Mustang Blue Nose, with 8 cells and turns a 17x8 prop with easy. Current draw is about 45 Amps. Motor does not gets warm, even with the lower cooling in the mustang.

The ESC is a Turningy 100 Amp. Motor and ESC perform very well.

I have no problems with the motor.

I fly with 6s and a 12x12 prop at ca. 20A (12x10 prop @ 14A) I fly it in a Kyosho Trainer 40. It fly very good and very quiet.

I would order it again!!!!
