Turnigy 5A SBEC  is an advanced switching DC-DC regulator which will supply a constant 5A. It works with 2 - 7 Cell Lipoly pack and supplies a constant 5 or 6v to your receiver and is interference-free.

Maybe this SBEC does provide 5A continuously, but it does like peak of current.
I tried with a FrSky RX (S6R & S8R) which does require a very good power supply. It just doesn't work. As soon as all servos are moving (6 servos on a BiXler3), the RX is constantly rebooting.
Lucky for me, I also order some YEP SBEC. With YEP SBEC everything is working like a charm.
In conclusion, cheap to buy, but cheap design.

I bought 5 of this BECs and I am very disappointed. I tested everyone, but more than 3 Amps are not possible. On 3 Amps the output voltage drops to 3,5 Volt and the BECs get very hot. I would declare this BEC as a "2,5A, max 3A" BEC, not more.

Be careful with this BEC. I had to add extra capacitor at the output side otherwise
output voltage went down when current was about 2 amps.

Have running some of this. Works perfect. It easy feeds 6pcs of powersucking 9g Digi Servos in a 2,5m Glider without making some electric trash. I'm happy with it!!

Works well and the wires are a decent length to begin with so no fussing around trying to get power to it from the main battery. I chose to power it separately from a 2s 1000mah pack for use in one of my large EDF models.

This powers a Raspberry Pi 1 Model B just fine.
But it won't allow a Raspberry Pi 2 to boot - it continually tries to boot but browns out after a second or two, and then repeats. This Pi was tested good using a USB power supply both before and after the test with the SBEC.
Both Pis were tested with a 5200MaH battery, with the SBEC set to 5V and connected to the 5V/GND GPIO pins of the Pi (via a Pi Cobbler and breadboard).
