fly this motor in a 2,4m an-2, with yeti spinn 99 on 8s 4000 turnigy with a 20x10 apc-e, weight complete 9,4kg. later i will try a 4 blade 18" varioprop for a better scale look. im sure you cant get more qualitiy for this money
i m verry happy with this combo, works well without any problems.

Very good engine! I use it for 1,8m CMPro Marathon 24. I have done about 50 flights. I broke a few propellers (bad landings) but engine is still working very well!!! I don't recommend rear mounting (after firewall) - bad vibrations!!! Front mounting (in front of firewall) works very well.

My setup is:

8S5000 mAh 25C Turnigy lipo

100A HV Sentilon Turnigy

18x10 (19x10) TGS Sport propeller

About 1,6-1,8 kW!!!

Construction of this motor is very solid. This motor is so nice looking you will want to tuck it in at night! Here is my setup:

Sentillion 100A HV ESC - I really like this ESC (so far) for a few minutes run time and full throttle for a few seconds it barely gets warm.

Turnigy 2200mah 3s 20C batteries - I bought 9 of these. Wired 3 sets of 3 in series. 1 set = 9s 2200mah, 2 sets = 9s2p 4400mah, 3 sets = 9s3p 6600mah. I can mix and match these batteries however I want now. When I am not flying my big plane I can use these batteries in my smaller planes.

Turnigy 5a sbec (8-40v) - You need to buy a separate bec with the Sentillion ESC. This one works great.

TGS Sport 18x8E Precision propeller - I bought a couple of these because they were so cheap. Under $4 a piece. Nice prop.

9s1p - 1800 watts

9s2p - 2050 watts

9s3p - 2350 watts (I figure about 20lbs of thrust)

This setup seems to suit this motor very well. Motor and ESC do not get too warm. This should fly my 1/4 scale super cub very nicely with power to spare!

Bought one and installed on an Ultimate 90 conversion so far so good on 8s 4000mah with a 20 x 8 APC prop. Measured on a Watts meter it hits WOT @ 64.10 Amps peak and 1842.2 watts peak. The 4 stars is because they dont list the max watts :0( Hope it holds up

Stats with 100 amp Sentillon ESC, 18 x 10 prop and 2 5C 5000 lipos.
At 25 amps, 880 watts, at 60 amps, 1950 watts. More than enough to fly a 1/4 scale, 16 lb Piper Cub like aircraft.

It would be a 5 star, but my engine come with the "lenght B" out of specs because the bearing was not in the correct place. I had to open the engine and with a proper device, put it in place. After that, the dimension come to normal, and I powered it up. Happy with the product, but dissapointed with quality control. Still recomend the engine.
