I purchased three of these motors to install on a Tricopter. These units come in neat little boxes and are well protected during posting. No issues at all with any of the motors, I simply soldered on some bullet connectors and off they went.
The shafts are threaded so there are plenty of options for adding prop's.Motors work well, but the shaft is short, make sure to lock-tite the prop nuts because the nylon thread in nylocks won't engage. Also, take the two set screws out of the base and lock-tite those as well, or else your motors come flying off their base (I learned the hard way).Wondering what people are using as a prop adapter for these?Heres the link for the replacement shaft non threaded 42x3mm(2.95)
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/spare-shaft-for-24gram-hxm2730-motor.htmlWell it took a while to find the shaft replacement for this motor its 42x3(2.95)mm They are non threaded and has the grub screw style fitting WHewww heres the link Folks
The fit is firm and no play.I use it as replacement on my hobbyking piper j3 cub 1030mm plane with 8x6 prop combo. Perfect.Runs smooth on a depron scratchbuild ac. Good motor for a cheap price. Recommended. This little fella is a beast! I'm constantly surprised by some of the recent product quality that is coming from hobbyking.motor is very silnce and powerfull i love itI've had two of these motors self-destruct in mid-air with disastrous consequences. In both instances one of the grub screws holding the motor to the base let go, despite being tightened. The last crash cost me two motors and an arm. I have lost all confidence in these now, despite being an excellent option for the rotorbits kit.
