Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufactures on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

I love these little beasts, strong enough for a FW330, these make my 260 zoom using a 3S 2200 mAh battery. Fancy packaging, and extra mounting bits too.

Motor macht auf dem Prfstand einen guten Eindruck. Meine Messergebnisse mit Turnigy Lipo 3/1200 und Hobbyking 12 A Regler sowie APC Style Propeller 8x4 von Hobbyking:
6,5 A, 8800 U/min, Schub: 320 g.

These motors where what I used for a quadcopter build a year ago and lets say they are a great choice. Flight time wise, I'm flying around 10 mins with a 0845 prop, 3s 2200 mah lipo, and 10amp escs. These motors are great for the price, they do get a little bit warm but not close to hot.
As for build quality, there is nothing to complain about except that one of the motors did get bent from a 25ft fall, as the bottom plate (the plate from where the shaft protrudes) seems to be the weakest part of the motor but then again it was 25 feet.
These motors are
Over all, I will buy these motors again as they are cheap, preform well, and look good on my quad.

Note-If you are going to get this motor, get some higher rated esc's because my 10 amp escs do get fairly hot, even at winter time.

Tested at 12 volts with a 8x4.5" propeller: static thrust = 369 grams, current = 6.82 A, that are good values. But the ball bearings are of a very low quality.

Good motor for small planes, It runs on 2 or 3 cell lipo and 8x4.5 prop with a 12 amp esc on my Magnum Reloaded.

These are very good motors, especially for a medium-sized quadcopter (I use the SK450 frame with these). not too expensive, yet good quality. Lots of bang for your buck.

Bought 2 pcs, but only bench tested them so far: 7.4Amps at 10.4Volt (semi charged 3S LiPo) with 8x4.5" prop. Quality seems fine.

Very nice little motor.
It is a comparable motor to the KDA 20-50S.

33g with 2mm gold connectors and the prop holder (fixed with 3 screws).
The 3 screws are not the best quality, so don't screw them too strong, or the winding will break.

I have measured this motor (and the KDA 20-50S) with my Eagletree gear and uploaded the data to drivecalc. You can use this program to try different props. and find the right configuration.
(Turnigy SK3 2822-1090 - timing high)

perfect motor for small quadcopters:
measured for example following combination:
Turnigy Plush 10A
Maxx Pro. EPP0845 Prop.
Voltage: 11,15V
Current: 8,30A
RPM: 7132
thrust: around 425g
