Description

Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufactures on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

Used these as the drive motor for a combat robot, hooked up to 16:1 gearboxes. They sucked down enough current to melt 50A escs on 4S, and damage the battery, but the motors stayed relatively cool (they were heatsunk to big blocks of aluminum though). Be warned, they will draw much more than 40A if you load them with higher resistance than props, but dang are they powerful and smooth.

Went with HK recommendations of motor ESC and prop for Bela Trike. Watched the motor go up in flames on first run up to full speed.I think it was just a fluke but I am not very experienced at brushless motors yet.

WOW!!! What a Motor!!! Put a 9x6E (PRODUCT ID: TGS9x6E) on it with a 2200ma 3 cell and pulled an Amazing 398.5 Watts at 38.92 amps and 11.48 volts. Have it installed in a Multiplex Dogfighter with a weight of 1.6lb/750g. This plane should skyrocket. I'm expecting to fly most of time at half throttle and still have a speed demon. A very quiet motor with a very smooth range of power. I really like the power curve as it accelerates. I will only by Turnigy SK3 motor in the future. The quality is certainly built in.

I have this motor in a Stryker 27Q using a plush 100A ESC on 4S 2450mAh and a 8x6 APC prop and the power is insane. Hand launching the plane is so easy now because of the instant torque. And the top speed is so fast I just limit it to short controlled bursts so I don't loose control. This is one impressive little motor, make sure you get the adapter if you are going to run it as a pusher.

Great motor. I use it in my HobbyKing EPP FPV plane and it has got power. I use this motor with HK SS Series 50-60A ESC (make sure you buy a separate UBEC with that ESC), 10x4.5 SF prop and a 3s 5000mAh 20C Turnigy battery. I think it's a great setup.

I put this SK3 motor on a Parkzone Bf-109 foamy with a Turnigy Plush 40A speed control. I am using a 2-bladed 9X6 prop. My battery is a Turnigy 3000mAh 3S. I had to dial the ATV back on the max throttle to keep below the 40A limit. The model is super fast with unlimited vertical. I will definitely be buying more SK3 motors.
