Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufactures on the market today. The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time. The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

I used this SK3 in a Durafly Tundra as an upgrade and so far so good! REALLY pulls hard on 4S but works very well on 3S too. Here's a link to my upgrade...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDLbbfkqOUUI had the opportunity to compare this motor to the SK3 new version 2 motor with reversed shaft with the same setup in the same plane. Yep 60A ESC, 13x6 APC Electricprop, Hobbyking EPP YAK 55M, 1,25m wingspan. This motor is the absolute looser versus the newer the Version 2 Motor with the exact same specifications. It has only 70pcnt Power and runs really not smooth and is also much louder than his V2 brother. I do not know why thismotor has such a lower performance, but the newer Version 2 of this motor is the absolute winner in all cases. I will only buy the SK3 Version2 Motors in the future, for almost the same price they ran awesome smooth and have a really good punch.Very good engine to power a glider-type HERON, weighing 1.7kg in FPV.
Propeller 12 * 6 with a 3700ma battery in 3s, it gives 38A.
And the model climbs at an angle of 80 .
1:00 flight.Arrived well packed and in great condition. This will be installed in a scale RC boat and there are no regrets with the choice. Fine looking product.Good Motor, Looks like very good Workmanship. Mounted in my Phoenix Rainbow (Trainer, 1,6m, 2.1kg
Multiplex Multicont 54A, Wellpower 2600-35C-3S, 12x6 APC-E, 43A, 8500 U/min
YEP-60A, Zippy 3000-25C-4S, 10x4 APC, 35A, 12200 U/min (prop can be bigger, but the power is enough for this plane)
Also measured, with Multiplex Multicont 54A, Wellpower 2600-35C-3S
Free Running, 2A, 12380 U/min
10x4 APC, 23A, 10200 U/min
11x5.5 APC-E, 32A, 9360 U/min
11x7 APC-E, 37A, 9200 U/min
Quality seems good. There is a lot of difference (dimensonal) with 800kv model.
Mine have 4mm shaft. Why? Spare part accessories has wrong collet (it is for 5mm shaft). Adpter with 3 hole is different from 800kv model. Why is there a lot of difference with 800kv model? I bought for change 800kv model from my sebart shark but I haveto do some work in the model for fit it (holes in the fire wall is not the same)used this motor in Extrem Flight LASER 48 EXP
With 13x6 prop and 2200mah battery
good power, enough for torque roll but keep your aircraft light...!
quality seems good
one problem, prop hub is not textured and will rip and turn when you try to tighten your prop bolt.Great motor on my edge 540t with 3 s 2700 mah 40c weight 1,2 kg
with 12x6 watt 327 31 ampere
with 13x6,5 watt 430 38 ampere
wot about 6/7 minutes of acrobatic flyGreat motor. This is my 3rd SK3 motor and they are all running perfectly. This is powering my Edge 540T EPP. WIth a 13x6.5 APC it is pulling 46A and putting out 475W. Plenty of power for the plane.Excellent engine
