Turnigy SK3 brushless motors are yet another step forward in motor evolution.

Once again we instructed our engineers to develop a motor that would not only rival but surpass the quality of the leading motors on the market today using the best quality magnets, bearings, and materials available.

The result is an outstanding series of motors that are efficient, strong, and robust enough for the most discerning modeler.

All of the SK3 series use quality double-shielded bearings, sintered neodymium magnets (the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available), and a string wound stator to ensure accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a top-quality brushless motor without compromise.

Features:
• Double shielded bearings
• Sintered neodymium magnets
• String wound stator
• High-quality finish
• Super-smooth operation

nothing to complain about

Aug 12, 2019

I run it at 6s with a 17x13 Reisenauer folding prop. It pulls max. 50A in this configuration. The Motor gets pretty warm after a short time, I wouldn't run it for more than 20 seconds continuously. The 3,1 kg plane climbs at 20m/s vertically with this Setup.

Question for Henry

Jan 16, 2019

Same as you, I am concerned about running this motor on 6S, though that seems to be the recommendation on the Balsa Sopwith Camel. Did you try it and did it “smoke” your motor? I have run mine on 3S and 4S. Definitely needs more than 3.

Good Motor

Nov 20, 2016

I do not understand how you guys run 6S batteries when the specs state max Volt as 19??? I want more power out of mine, so I'll try it, but if I smoke my motor in my Slick 55 I'll hunt you down and shoot you out of the sky with my Bixler 2.

Great looking motor, complete with all needed accessories, nice box, ... Now the only thing that is left is a test flight.

I ran it on a 17 x 6.5 on 6s 7.000 rpm and 550 watts
on a 17 x 10 on 6s 5.600rpm and 900 watts it does get a bit hot on this prop which is installed on an ASW 19 of 3.75m wingspan weighing in at 5 kg, it fly's from it launching dolly at about 25 on the 17 x 10 and 10 on the 11 x 6.5

Very good product.
Test with Zippy 5s 3300mah 35c, and aeronaut folding prop: 20x12 - 900W - 44A, 18.5x14 - 870W - 43A
Test with old 4s battery 25C, only 430W with 18.5x14 folding prop

Absolutely great. The motor is rated at 2-5s but I'm running a 13x8e with 6s , 24amps and about 650w , it's pulling my 1870mm super cub around with ease. Flight times are long , flew for 15mins and used about 25pcnt not even a hint of getting wam very pleased with the hardware, can be set up either way round with the provided adapters

Replaced my Turnigy 50-55 400kv motor with this motor as it is 2ozs lighter and can turn a bigger prop (16x6) on 6s at the same current. No problems.
