Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival but surpasses the quality of many leading motor manufacturers on the market today.
The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.
The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

Ended up reversing the shaft to suit my application, every HK motor I disassemble seems to have a slight noise after reassembly even after being extremely careful, although the SK3 appeared a bit rough but spins up beautifully. I will be running this on 6S and 13x6 prop which on testing will draw around 35A & 850W. What a good strong motor, I hope the shaft adapter is up to the task as it seems a bit on the light side as stated in other reviews
Thanks HK, this range of Turnigy outrunners are excellent value at a great priceGoing to use this one in a 1/6th scale Nieuport 17. I won't use anything else!
I only use these motors in my models. The performance of sk3 motors is easily on a par with more expensive big name motors. Interestingly I'm using this motor in a 1/6th scale fokker dvii turning a 17 or 18* 10 propeller and using a 3 cell lipo.Flying this motor with 6 cell 15X8 prop. at full throttle pulls 56 amps and 1345 watts and 130 oz. of thrust. Tried (for 10 seconds) a 16X8 it pulled 64 amps and 1620 watts and 160 oz. thrust, to much for this motor.I'm flying this motor with an 15*8 prop and at full throttle it pulls 45 amp out of a 3600 6 cell turnigy Lipo.
the airplane is a Funcub XL from Multiplexvery powerful motor with the good priceBought this motor and a turnigy 85A ESC. Mounted this motor on the 1800mm Beaver, battery was a Turnigy 5S 5000mAh 20C LiPo, ESac was also a Turnigy. Propeller was a Turnigy wooden prop 14 X 6. After flying for about 10mins with about 50-75pcnt throttle, the motor and esc was warm to the touch. I will buy again as this motor offers good value for money !Top-Motor bei 4S-5000/40C, AERON 17x9 bis 17x10 - 5800-6000U/min
48-58A / 15,6-15,4V = 748-895W. Superleise, super Rundlauf. Vitesse 3m, 3,2Kg - traumhaftes Steigen, und sehr flotter Gangart! Motor wird im Normalbetrieb handwarm (40C). Besser gehts kaum. Und das fr den Preis - Sehr empfehlenswert!Super powerful well made motor!Pulls my Katana 50ep around nicely on a 5S pack and a 15x8 prop. Cant complain.
