The Turnigy Aerostar SRS Flight Control System operates as a standard aircraft gyro with independent gyro gain control for aileron, elevator and rudder. This gyro stabilizer will smooth out these 3 controls and make your model easier and much smoother to fly, especially in rough air conditions.
The SRS unit also has an emergency mode which can operate from a switch on your transmitter. This can be set to ensure that once activated, the model will automatically enter its pre-set control configuration to enable you to recover control.
This unit would be ideal in a Trainer type model for beginners to RC flying or for making any model more stable and easier to fly.
• Supports 4 modes: Beginner, Practice, Promotion and Expert
• Supports 4 model types, aileron, flaperon, delta wing and v-tail
• Three flight modes - Standard, Hold and Off
• Emergency mode available
• Master and Independent Axis Gain
• Configurable Gain for comfortable/sensitive control response
Voltage Range: 5~6V
Dimensions: 43 x 28 x 15mm
This 3 axis gyro is a perfect addition for a newbie, easy to setup (look on youtube).I think anybody can setup it really fast the emergency works fine really stable
These work great. Don't believe the bad comments, these people clearly have not read the instructions. You need to put in the time to see what these can do for you. Buy many. These are brilliant, and at £15 an absolute bargain. Read the instructions, it may take some head scratching and perhaps a cup of tea but they do work. The diagrams are perhaps the most useful. Anyone that says otherwise obviously didn't follow the instructions. Buy loads
Easy to set up start with low gains and work up it's super easy I've got 5 nowI put Turnigy's Aerostar SRS through a test using Durafly 1100 Stuka, my old trusted test bench. It did exactly what it is supposed to do. I stalled, spinned and did all the possible mistakes and every time it corrected the plane with a slip of a switch. I even pu tCG delibarately wrong couple pf times and still the old warbird flew well.
Gusts were throwing the plane back and forth, when it was off, but the wind seemed to cease every time I turned it on. Really positive experience.Excellent stabilizer for fixed wing aircraft. Today I tried it on the model HK Slow Stick. It works perfectly, incredibly.
I was able to fly Slow Stick in strong winds (8 m/s, gusting to 10 m/s, measured with an anemometer). When I turn off the stabilization for the moment, the model was almost uncotrolable... After turning on, I was able to land softly with zero forward speed.

If you think of signal-travel it makes perfect sense. The signal comes "in" from the receiver and then "out" to the servos, so plug the servos into the "out" and the receiver into the "in". Last but not least, set the gyro's gains a bit too high at first which helps you see the movement of the servo correction. If the correction is going the wrong way, reset the gains to the opposite side of zero. (12:00) Then, back off on the gains for your first few flights. Just think, 3-axis stabilization for only $11.00!!! Have fun flying. 8-20-2016This product works as advertised. Don't believe everything you read from the reviewers on this site. I recently purchased this item to try it out and found that it works wonderfully and for the amazing price of only $11.00 at the USA east warehouse. (at least right now) Now, I have purchased four more before the price goes back up. Buy this product with confidence. You won't regret it. 8-18-2016
