Good,greater with a 3s

Aug 23, 2021

With a 2S battery I tried many props but can't get it to use more than 20W. It can fly my 165grm wing pretty slowly, level flight and slow climbs.
I then used a 3S with a 6x3 / 6x4 prop and the power goes up to 40W, it makes my little flying wing (120g) almost go vertical. No heat issues with these props.
The motor starts to heat up a bit more when you use 3S and a bigger prop.

Prop-saver only, for light planes

Jun 03, 2021

Can't get it to draw more than 4 amps on a 2s LiPo, 7x3.8 prop seems like prop that gets the most out of it with a 2s.
Bench test matchs what the product description gives
Not tried with a 3s
This is prop-saver only, can't seem to remove the prop saver

Great for lightweight, around 32" span, <10oz/square foot wingloading airplanes. Draws around 7A static thrust, great little motor

this motor runs great with a 4s 4000 lipo. i got my home made foam plane ( 60 inch wing) about 100 feet in the air and the motor stopped. i think the 12 inch prop might be to big so i will change it out . does any one know what size prop i should use?
