Not such good luck with one. Smoked it in about 90 seconds in a UL1 Hydro, running 4s and a 40 by 52mm prop. Probably only good for 3s applications. Rokcster

Motor looks ok. There was a small staple inside of mine. I heard it rubbing and fished it out with a small piece of wire. 3 stars just because of the staple. Other than that its not a bad looking motor for the price. The wires are very stiff though. Softer wires and no staple and it would have been 5 stars all the way. CAREFUL!!! Check the motor for staples!!!!

Using this motor on a G.W. Kwik-E. With a 9x5 folding prop it pulls 52amps 530watts on 11v. On a fresh pack it pulls a little more. The Kwik-E has large cooling holes in the design so heat isn't really a problem. You do have to make a new firewall though. The bolt pattern is different.

Great Motors - I use 2 of them in an Agitator Raceboat Catamaran (90cm hull). 100km/h + no problem with the right propellers for these motors.

But you have to give them a fan and a good water cooling !!!

Nice Inrunner

Nov 14, 2007

I tested the motor using a 3 cell LiPo with 4300mAh from X-Cell.

With a 7x7 APC Sport propeller it is at 50A @ 11V, so about 550W input power. Motor is up at about 15,000-16,000 RPM and is getting quite warm without airflow.

I'm aiming at using a 7x10 APC Sport propeller fr high-speed flights.

Current flow should drop during flight, because the motor will spin faster (approx. 20,000 RPM).

4 Stars only, because there are no mounting parts, etc. included and there is no manual or detailed informations about max. current or best efficiency.
