The Turnigy dlux 10A linear voltage regulator provides up to 10A continuous current (15A peak) at a selectable 5.2V, 6.0V (default), 6.8V, or 7.4V output. This is great for powering your electronics on both helicopters and fixed-wing models. Thanks to the wide output voltage range, this Turnigy dlux voltage regulator can handle just about any type of servo. Designed to operate on a 7.4V input, this unit is ideal for use on large helicopter/fixed-wing models utilizing 7.4V receiver batteries.
This device also includes an optional low voltage alarm/LED board which can easily alert you to a low voltage condition of your input battery. It features a super bright white LED that can be seen even during sunny conditions. A great way to monitor your input battery's status.

just bought this and working great exept the switch
after opening the box, there was a small pin in the switch plug wich was unsoldered...
Size Digital-Servos -> kein Problem! This linear regulator looks good and has some nice features and actually works for a little while before it shuts down from thermal stress. I used it internally mounted in my 67" YAK-54 to power six S9252 digital servos. The battery was the Li-Fe 2300 mAh delivering a nice 6.6 volts. I set the output for 5.2 volts, but the voltmeter showed it as actually 5.1 Vdc. Now the YAK was gasoline powered and flew for about 15 minutes before the servos slowly went to sleep, ailerons first followed by the elevators. I couldn't control the shallow dive into planet earth. The DLUX linear was still hot to the touch. The chips used in these linear regulators ALL self protect by dropping the output voltage to limit the power dissipation. With the input/output voltage difference of only 1.5 volts and maybe 4 A of average current we had about six watts of regulator dissipation. I guess that was too much for long periods in a confined space.
I will fault HobbyKing for not specifying the maximum power and temperature rise. Please don't ever use this product in an enclosed space without super ventilation or for more than about five minutes without a cool-down period. Also the alarm trip level did not adjust, contrary to the instruction sheet. Just don't use the linear regulators, there are plenty of good switching BECs on the market.bought 2 of these, and the fail safe light is very bright, also the bigger brother is good for hv servosDas Teil ist Klasse. Damit sparst du dir einen Lipo bzw. Batteriepack bei Verbrennermodellen.....
1 Lipo fr Zndung UND Servos.....:-)Una confiable, compacta y con aspecto profesional fuente de poder para mi helicptero nitro.
A reliable, compact and professional looking power supply for my nitro helicopter.works very well.looks great on plane the remove before flight tag. and has a lower batt allarm led ,wich i test it and work .i suggest it to anyone .brotherDa gibt es nicht zu meckern. Ist ok.pour alim recepteur pas encore essaye
