Bought to power a big boat on 10S.
Before puting a custom watercooling on it, runned it on 10S out of the water (no load).
Burnt almost instantly, do not understand the issue, but seems of not very good quality.I ordered one of these to replace a 35ccNGH motor I had bought from Hobbyking that arrived damaged and was warrantied but still absolutely refuses to run inverted so I decided to go electric instead. Ironically, the ESC arrived, looked great,looked well built but would not power up ? I kind of had to chuckle having spent this money to replace another high buck product from here and now I have the same plane with two power systems that still has not flown LOL ! I found a Youtube video with this ESC that had the same problem for that guy. But know, I am happy with Hobbyking, they're doing a great job and they're stuff is reasonably priced. On the third flight it went off with a bang, melting itself and dropping molten solder onto the bottom of the cowl (spun aluminium luckily). Here's the video proof. https://youtu.be/Ej0BkiQWESIfacilmente programmabile e di grande affidamento....davvero un ottimo regolatoreCompared with its big brother on steroids - the Turnigy Dlux HV 250V, (that I bought shortly before this one), this high power, HV ESC is significantly more compact & only about a third of the weight, but still feels very solid & has good heat-sinking. Not the same overkill with the leads & connectors of its big brother either. All power-carrying leads are 10AWG, with the motor tails pre-terminated in gold 4mm females, while the power connections are tinned bare ends. Theres also, a thin anti-spark pre-connection lead on the positive side of the supply. ....... This HV ESC programs fine with the Turnigy Dlux programmer BUT - there are absolutely no relevant instructions supplied with the ESC or the Dlux programmer regarding connection to or how to use the programmer so you have to discover for yourself that this ESC (unlike many other BEC-less ESCs, including Turnigy K force series etc.) has to be connected to HV motor power (6s LiPo min) AS WELL as being supplied with 5v/6v on its "servo" lead (as per normal with non-BEC ESCs) before the programmer will talk to it.Great ESC, great price too... I have this wired up to the HK rotomax 50cc motor and seems to handle everything okay. The anti spark feature that comes with this ESC I haven't used, I just covered the bullet with heat shrink and shrunk it onto the red main wire lead. I have made a separate anti spark connector. I like it HK! Thanks a lot!!! :)Received, but have not had a chance to use yet. Arrived greatly packed and looks great.
