Turnigy GliderDrive Competition Series motors are top quality outrunners designed specifically for use in today's high performance glider models. These motors are effectively an "outrunner in a can" meaning that the outside of the motor does not spin. This gives you the mounting advantages of an inrunner by not having to worry about clearance for the outside of the motor can to spin. They also feature a tapered front end allowing them to fit into the slim nose of most gliders/hotliners with ease.
We instructed our engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufacturers on the market today.

Bought this motor for my hot (warm) liner. Should be a great motor.Absolut TOP das Teil! Keine Vibration, ruhiger Lauf und durchzugsstark, hab gleich noch einen gekauft. Sehr gut finde ich die Anschlsse hinten am Motor und das alle rotierenden Teile innen sind somit kann man ihn auch in engen Situationen gut einsetzen. Leider ist durch den besch......... Euro-Dollarkurs das Teil teurer geworden.Sehr guter Motor, fliege Selection von Simprop mit 3S 2650 Luftschraube 10X6 Robbe 37Ah. Geht senkrecht.I tried with 4s and 8*6 folding prop, i get 65A. I use in the MPX Blizzard. More than enough to this plane. I used this plane with NTM 3548 1800KV before that.
Same prop and controller (70A). The motor was too warmed.
But this GliderDrive is the optimum for this setup.
Recommended!did the first 3 flights with this one in my simprop excel competition 3 (2.2metres, about 1900 grams). It rocks. pulls 715 watts static on a 10x6 folding prop. pulls about 2500 grams of thrust. Runs hot, but nothing worrying.
