I was excited to see this mount available for my Frankendrone but was disappointed when it arrived. There were no instructions included and the pictures on the site do not show all the details. I had to guess which screws to use for the different parts. They include extra screws and bolts and spacer bars, I'm assuming for the servos, so I thought I was missing something. The mounting brackets screw holes, that mount to the drone frame, didn't match up. I had to drill out the existing holes to make them larger so they would fit. Some of the nuts were rusted. I thought the nuts were brass when I first saw the bag was a nice orange color. In the end it works but there was a lot of cursing and debating if this should be returned.

Very confusing manual, needs to be re done. I was also sent way to many screws and fasteners, I have no idea what to do with all of them. However this is a very nice gimbal when you figure out how to get it together!

A very well made addition, very lacking on the build instructions. Takes quite a bit of working out to put it together correct the first time. You dont want to get it wrong as once its together it seems damage would be done trying to get it apart to start again. Excellent value though and very stury once built.

This review is for the HAL camera mount only....not the HAL frame...see separate review on that page.
The camera frame mounting rails are what makes this kit worth purchasing. It gives you the room to mount further kit to the quad.
If your interested in using the gimbal camera mount....don't bother...it's rubbish.
The instructions are not very good and that's being generous so you'll need to use some common sense when installing. You will need to glue the carbon fibre frame together in the 4 corners, I used a small amount of epoxy resin.
You'll also need good quality servo's as the cheap ones are jittery. One last important thing, the gimbal is a 3 axis which Quads do not generally need. Only pitch and roll is required. There is no way of locking the pan axis off. I fitted an old broken servo on this just to lock the pan axis...not the best. Good luck.

Well worth the money! Everything needed comes in the package. The frame is nicely manufactured and cut precisely. The is a small wobble in the Roll axis but not so bad. I pretty sure it can be fixed with a little extra work on it.
