***** This item is now sold out, but do not despair! The Micro-Quad V2 is on the way and includes the new KK2.0 LCD screen flight controller!

This tiny yet brilliantly designed P&P micro quad makes getting into hobby-grade quadcopters easy! We've done all the hard work for you by choosing the power system, installing the motors/ESCs, soldering all of the connections and mounting/setting up the control board.

With the Turnigy Integrated PCB Plug and Play Micro Quad, you simply need to add your own 4CH transmitter/receiver, 500-900mAH 2S 7.4V lipoly battery, setup your radio, complete the pre-flight check, mount the propellers and your ready to fly!

Features:
Light weight design
High efficiency brushless power system pre-installed
Integrated PCB frame making for a tidy wiring layout
P&P configuration taking the guesswork out of choosing your own components

The quad flys well. Only the motor mount tabs are very weak, i glued them with carbon fiber strips. Also the flight controller board is mounted without shock absorber. I used the following start setup:
Roll 45pcnt, Pitch 20pcnt Yaw 75pcnt.

To say that this is ready to fly is an exggeration. I had to upgrade the firmware of mine to even get lift off, it came with a borked setup.

One of the motors are "lazy" and tend to not rev as hard as the other three, causing it to fall over on full throttle and will sometimes start the prop backwards when going from a full stop.

The ESCs are set to hard cutoff when the battery is low, and will quite simply drop dead in mid air.

However.. After a lot of tweaking and six broken props, it now flies REALLY well. Remains controllable in pretty heavy winds although the battery died real fast.

Has a nice 50pcnt throttle hover just like quad people tend to recommend.
Would probably lift a go pro bullet or even the full go pro camera.

Aprs 1 mois d'utilisation,
Bons Vols

Just maidened mine two days ago. OMG this is like crack! But I went through quite a lot more setup than expected and ended up doing a major modification to add carbon fiber arms (see attached photo).

There were three problems:
1) Gyro setups: yaw had to be reversed (procedure is explained in the manual). The pitch and roll gyro gains were way too large causing it to ocillate. After turning the pots down it is *very* stable.

2) The PCB material is very brittle for arm material. Broke an arm on the second flight. After a lot of glue later I decided to replace all four with carbon fiber extensions bolted down (see photo in files). Now its rock solid.

3) The power leads are not tethered/constrained at all. Both broke before even the first flight trying to tie down the battery. Beef up the solder and add tie straps!

I'm flying with the 850mah nano techs and get 8:30 min flights! This thing is so awesome now.

not so plug and play, be prepared to fiddle with the board, learn how to change the gyro directions and look up witch way the motors should spin.

Bozos,

I finally got my new 250 mm HK quad into the air after, lets say, about half an hourish of tinkering. A slight adjustment to the rolling plane gyro was necessary for perfect stable hover/flight.

Robbie was there and his mouth is still open.

This is an impressive li'll unit and is much more sophisticated than the MQX equivalent. It is equally as stable and flys just as well, in my garage. I'll try it in open spaces later in the week. I have no doubt that it is as quick and manoeuvrable as the MQX. Neither like the wind.

Any one considering getting an MQX ($160), or equivalent should review this unit first.

Don't misunderstand me, I love my MQX and it's 10 minute plus flight times are far superior to this unit.

I believe the motors in the MQX are brushed coreless. The board is integrated with no separate components.

This unit consists of the following separate components. Four brushless motors, four Turnigy Plush 6 amp esc/s, frame, props and board and it is assembled. Check all components and fittings before flight.

Cost is $110 including freight with an optional aluminium case available.

I gave this five stars because four and a half stars isn't an option. Nothing is perfect. This is close.

Cheerz from Australia.

Good product, although you can buy all pieces separetely and work them together for less money.
There is no low voltage protection, so be careful. Use a Volt Watch Meter.
The manual is not complete, so here follow some tips:
- To zero the yaw pot, rotate it counter clock wise (left)
- The flight controller takes about 8 seconds do beep twice (necessary to adjust the throttle range, see manual). Before this, there are some start up sounds.
- All my engines are rotating the inverse direction, but it does not matter. Just position the props accordingly.
- Some engines start before others, but it also does not matter. As soon as the power is enough to fly, the rotation will equalize.
- Stick four balsa (1.5cm) sticks at each end, protecting the props from hard landing and wall crashing.
- First time configuring the flight controller, the engines did not start. Some versions need you to lower the power and go full rudder right (hold) until led lights (do it in a flat surface). If it does not work, try reversing rudder channel.
- Try hovering for one sec few inches above floor in a place without wind until you learn to stand still. Good flight!

It's a bit tricky to set up but it flies. Make sure you remove propeller when you reverse gyros, I did the mistake of not removing them and I paid the price (it cut my fingers)! On my first flight it flipped in the wind and the dome thing at the top broke as well as 2 blades. Luckily I included spares in my order. By the way, the transmitter I'm using is T6. Ask me if you need help!
