I use this engine in a mythos 50 airplane with 6S battery. Prop 17x12 APC E. Lots of power and very silent. Vertical acelleration is not a problem. Easy to fly a complete F3A program with this combination. After 8 min flighttime I used 3400 mA from the 5000 available.

These are really nice looking motors. The weight is similar to the sk3 series and have lots of adapters for different props.

Have purchased 9 of these motors for a big octocopter.
Unfortunately, the bearings get very hot if run at 12 k RPM. Likely needed to be replaced, but could not find replacement or high-quality bearings.
Fixing screw for the shaft is too short and breaks winding inside aluminium piece at the front easily, fixing screw is only 3 mm and way too short, replaced all of them.
Propeller holder for non-shaft side wobbles a lot.
Could not find replacement shafts.
Wondering if HK has better quality motors with same performance / KV.

Tested the Motor and it's not really a replacement for the PRODUCT ID: TR50-55A-400.
Its KV seems to be lower. The "old" 50-55A spins the same prop (15x8) to ~8200rpm (6s ~36A) and this motor does 7300 max (6s ~22A). (Don't remember the exact numbers, just tested to compare the two motors)
So a bigger prop is needed to achieve the same thrust/power. Will do further tests with 16x8 on 6s. Can post the exact numbers if needed after that tests.

Well... shipment was very speedy! Thanks HK!
Motor looks robust and realy neat. Weigt is 288 grams. Neat too!
Large vents in the design will help to keep things nicely cool.
Turnigy packaging is plain industrial blunt cardboard. Regard alu prop axles as prone to weaknesses, and have a heavier steel one to mount. All in package is okay. Spinnernuts can be use on a OS or Saito :-). When this motor does what HK/Turnigy promises? Than it is a winner!
Will check magnets for glueing (but even AXI needs to be checked!).
So 5* at first glance, without testing.
