Mini Power Distributor UBEC (Red) Good basic power distribution unit

This unit works good although the mounting legs came off mine so I mounted it flush with double sided tape. It is light at just a few ounces. It just runs the battery power through but does regulate the reciever voltage to 5 volts. Be carefull it sias it can take up to a 13volt battery but that's what will be going to your servos - you'll burn them up. If you use standard servos use a life battery at 6.6 volts. for HV servos use a Lipo 7.4 volt battery. It has double outputs on the first 8 channels so you don't need Y harnesses for some double servo setups. The kill is on ch 9. You will always have to flip the switch to tun on the ignition no matter what position the switch is in when you start , this is for safety. The Black box version of this UBEC has all the voltage regulation and dual battery managment but is alot heavier. You could repace this unit with a REXCEL kill switch and plugging in your two batteries into a high end HV reciever with alot of inputs but you would'n get the regulated 5 volts and double channel outputs. You would save 2 oz that way.

I have got this in my large glider and it works great. What I like about it is that it has the 2 XT60 plugs, for batteries also 2 sockets for standed battery packs also. I will be buying more in the future.

This does work as advertised however there are a few things that are still not accurate in the description won the through voltage to the servos is NOT adjustable as stated it is only a decibel by changing the battery maybe H Kay needs to upgrade their description also the CDI kill is very confusing whatever mode you shut off in is the opposite when you turn it back on as long as you pay close attention it will be okay okay for the money it does the job but could be better
