Turnigy introduce the Min Power Distributor UBEC (Red) suited to 30cc plus gas powered models.

This unit has great features, which include: Dual battery input, 5v isolated linear RX BEC, 8 channel RX input with dual outputs on each channel - simplifying dual servo control surfaces.

Great inclusions are the independent 5V linear regulator providing a separate power source for the receiver, optically isolated CDI power & in built remote ignition kill. Receiver, Servo & CDI power sources are completely isolated from each other.

Three selectable UBEC operating voltage options (via Jumper):

Direct connection: uses 5V- 6V input to supply power - voltage pass through from battery input to Receiver
Voltage drop 0.5V: Reduces a 6v input to 5.5v
Voltage drop 7805: use 7.2V- 8.4V input to supply 6v regulated power

This is the first Power Distributor system to securely nest the receiver within the power distribution 'block' thereby shortening cable runs, adding protection to your all important receiver & speeding set up time.

Features:
• 5v adjustable RX BEC
• 30 Amp Servo
• 8 (+1 CDI cut) input channels
• 16 output channels
• 5 Status check LEDs
• Padded receiver tray & Secure mounting
• CDI isolated power
• CDI remote ignition control (remote cut)
• CDI power status indicator light
• CDI power output terminal
• CDI voltage monitor LED

Optional: Input/output voltage display with external power switch

Specs:
Input channels: 8
Output channels: 16
Input voltage: 5-8.4V
Servo Current: 30A (40Amp Burst)
Rx voltage: 5-8.4V (user adjustable; Default is voltage pass through)
Working temperature: -20 to 85 degrees c
Weight: 80g
Dimensions: 116mm x 88mm x 13mm

Nice for adding dead weight.

Sep 24, 2021

I tried this thinking I could use 1 less battery, I could remove separate ignition kill and 2 switches.
Problem #1, red light flashing always, tried 4 batteries #2, 3 channels glitche. #3, no way to verify ignition functionality #4, 3 batteries needed for redundancy plus ignition, unclear with any of their literature #5, main power switch is non mountable or velcro! #6, worst plug sockets I've ever seen. Responses found to questions by manufacturer was a copy of their literature which is useless. Waste of resources.

Good power hub and great price!

Jan 20, 2018

I got one of these a few months back and was very impressed. On closer inspection I noticed that this is the same as a premium power hub that sells for far more money than the Turnigy brand HK is selling.
The only odd thing I've noticed with it is that when the ignition cut-off is set up, the hub ALWAYS has the ignition off regardless of the switch position on the transmitter. I was able to solve this by activating a switch warning for the ignition cut-off on my transmitter that forces me to make sure the switch is in the "off" position when I turn on the radio or activate the model profile. Had I not been able to do that I would have been REALLY annoyed by this.
Receiver voltage is a pass-thru, but it's not really a problem since almost all modern receivers will take up to 10.5V and (unless you're using UHV 11.1V servos) servos all run on 8.5V or less.
All told, this is a good quality power hub and I will be buying more of these as needed.

Just want to say the tabs for the grommits are a bit weak on the new plastic housing and one has so far broken of on my 55cc plane, so in that respect I prefer the older version.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
The circuit diagram that comes with this product clearly shows 5v to servo's.
However upon using 2 X 3s lipo's for input voltage in became clear that the input battery voltage for main power is the same as the voltage that is outputted to servo's.
So if you use s3 11.1v for power this is the voltage that is output to the servo's
I found this out the hard way and ended up instantly burning out 5 X 70 Digital servo's
Total cost on burnt out servo's 350
The only 5v bec is to the receiver

Purchased in early May/2015 so I can assume this is the latest version. There are conflicting specs between posted and instruction sheet however to clarify there is no internal rx voltage regulator. What you put in for voltage is what you will supply to the rx. Not an issue for me as I already own a good quality 20 amp BEC to be used with a 2S LiPo as the power source.
The buses are rated at 20 amps in the documentation supplied with the unit.
The internal CDI circuit worked as advertised and is a nice bonus at this price point.
One very good feature is the on/off switch. The unit is designed to turn on when the switch is open or simply not plugged into the unit at all. Should the switch fail in flight it will not turn your power supply off.
Over all I am satisfied this unit will be a solid performer for my 50cc gasser at a very good price point.

I have received the above pictured panel and it is a simple straight through power distribution panel, whatever power goes in the same comes out. (Three selectable UBEC operating voltage options (via Jumper): There is not a jumper wire to change the output voltage. The RX voltage is a constant 5 VDC. Hobby King has miss represented this item. I do believe the device will work fine but it is not as advertised.
