Turnigy introduce the Min Power Distributor Ubec suited to 30cc plus gas powered models.

This unit has great features, which include: Dual battery input, 5v isolated linear RX BEC, 30 Amp voltage adjustable Ubec on all output channels, 8 channel RX input with dual outputs on each channel - simplifying dual servo control surfaces.

Great inclusions are the independent 5V linear regulator providing a separate power source for the receiver, optically isolated CDI power & in built remote ignition kill. Receiver, Servo & CDI power sources are completely isolated from each other.

This is the first Power Distributor system to securely nest the receiver within the power distribution 'block' thereby shortening cable runs, adding protection to your all important receiver & speeding set up time.

Features:
• 5v Linear RX BEC
• 30 Amp Servo UBEC
• Users adjustable UBEC voltage
• 8 (+1 CDI cut) input channels
• 16 output channels
• 5 Status check LEDs
• Padded receiver tray & Secure mounting
• CDI isolated power
• CDI remote ignition control (remote cut)
• CDI power status indicator light

Super

Absolut super!

Cheap Insurance

I have purchased 4 of these units now, 3 yellow 1 black, only because yellow was out of stock. I use these only for dual battery redundency and the fact if you have a switch failure it fails to the on. I dont care about no LCD all you need is a simple voltage checker with a Futaba plug to set servo voltage. I have also never used the ignition kill feature as I always use a RC Excell kill switch. I have not to this day been let down by 1 of these units and intend on purchasing another today.

IT has not LCD SCREEN. IT HAS FAKE SCREEN. There is a Turnigy writing on the fake screen. Also a led is shining back side of the fake LCD. Another functions are ok. You can buy another version of this power distributor that it has almost the same functions from another stores cheaper than hobbyking.

Seemed to be a great product, all worked as it should initially, after three flights, CDI kill switch stopped working, red light flashes indicating less than 4.2V input no matter what battery is connected and the switch is inoperable.
Fitted on a Yak52 with a RCG 26cc gas engine.

I will now have to purchase a CDI kill switch.

Be careful to isolate this board from vibrations on the larger planes. My opto for the ignition control came loose from the board in my Sbach 34pcnt, 35cc, because I had the screws down too tight on the rubber grommet mounts. Bad solder joint. The ignition randomly shuts off (sometimes while in flight!). I'm going to isolate the board and receiver in foam and use Velcro to hold it in the plane. JohnnyB

I have purchased 3 of the original 3 panel design panel units. I have installed them into 3 of my giant scale planes. The new panels are a single plastic box. They are easy to use and they performed as intended.
CAUTION!! One of the 3 panel design units failed and I lost all power on my 84 P-51. What I found was one of the 2 ribbon solder joints fail on the main BEC that is located on the bottom panel failed. I was able to repair the remaining units by removing the top 2 panels and repairing the ribbon solder joints. Make sure to get the solder to flow to both sides of the panel. It was a simple repair but why should we have to repair them to ensure we dont lose our planes.
Come on Hobby King Pick up your game!!!!
PS I havent used the new design yet but I do hope they have resolved the problems.

This Bower box works Beautifully, But always remember to leave your assigned kill switch down when you turn on your transmitter and do this before powering up your Power Distributor, Then turn on the power distributor and your kill position will always be down to kill the CDI, This sequence is necessary unless you don't care where the kill position will be. This is a built in Safety feature to always start with the system in the kill position. Hope I made it clear to avoid confusion. Happy Flying ! Ron
