This motor is seriously underpowered and practically useless.
There is no way this is the same motor that the Mini Swift is shipped with. My second flight with this POS motor is probably the last for my swift unles I can be bothered rebuilding it.

I have seen three of these motors fail now and they are rubbish! The comments about the shaft are 100 correct - it bends very easily.

Also the shaft does indeed slip back in the motor.

As far as output goes, HK should have chosen a better motor for this plane, and forgotten about the lousy prop/spinner, which is unbelievably fragile.

Expensive and not up to par. Please improve HK!

Simple engine replacement, so it is expensive, it would be better to upgrade with another engine.

Buen repuesto para el mini swift, un poco dbil, al primer golpe se estropea, pero es igual al que trae el original, hay mejores y a mas bajo precio.

Is this the same motor as original?

My original motor is still going strong, even after many vertical climbs aerobatics 12 heavy nose crashes. Only had to slip the prop and spinner forward on the shaft, so spinner didn't rub on nose,as it had moved back on each crash.

Maybe some motors are burning out, due to spinner dragging on the fuselage.

Mine fried on the 3rd flight on Mini Swift using std prop and Rhino 610mah 2S battery. Upon close inspection, insulation melted. Poor quality! Avoid if possible.

simply put, this motor runs too hot...hot enough to melt the insulation on the leadouts...speaking of leadouts: they are very brittle and difficult to solder...I had to buy separete flux to get solder to adhere...still couldn't save the motor- leadouts then broke at the windings. so:

>overheats

>poor windings

>soft shaft

>difficult mounting- holes don't line up well

HK ditch this motor and offer a better one!
