Purchased 4 of these for a Tarot 650 Sport. During Maiden and initial flights, everything looked and sounded good. Added my gimbal/gopro for some aerial work and the entire thing came down like a bowling ball from about 3m altitude. I stripped the smashed quad down and bench tested the motors. One of them randomly stopped while pivoting around longitudinal/lateral axis. The other three were fine. Disappointed and will not buy these again. Switched to Sunnysky 3508/580s and am very happy.

I ordered 4. Paid premium for express shipping. 3 of them are perfect but one is a completely different motor with a bell type mount rather than a can mount.

Annoying as I can not fly my quad. So I contact HK support. They are less than sympathetic. Will not just ship out another - I have to go through a long drawn out return/refund process. Last time I did this it took weeks...how can they send you the wrong part then make you jump through so many hoops to put it right?

That said the 3 correct motors look great

I have 6 of them on 680 hexacopter. They work very well. Well equilibrated while out of the box. Can fly for 12-18 min on 5800 and 9000mA respectively on FPV (680 FPV system). I run them on 13x6 carbon props. The only objection is the noise at certain rpm, surely due to bearings, but it is supportable while they are working. Work fine, hexacopter fly flawlessly, lots of power for gopro FPV. I recommend them. I have bought more for a Y6 project.
On Y6 I run them with 12x6 CF props on top and 13x6 CF props on bottom motors respectively. The noise is much lower in Y6 version than in x6 version using the same NAZA controller type.
thanks HK.

I love these motors they are so solid and powerful! very smooth rotation. I have 4 of these with the 25amp Q-Brain, and naza lite system (used to have kk2.1 boad which I like just as much as the naza). I use it for filming with a mounted tarot 2-d and the the motors give the right amount of power and effiiency. I get around 25 mins flight with a 5000mah at full weight (2.5kg).

I have just received these motors. As everybody else is saying, they have a strange sound at ~30pcntthrottle. When the strange sound is heard, also the amperage growth from 0.4A to 1A without propeller and they get worm. If you raise the throttle over this position, the amperage gets normal and the sound disappears. It's not a sync issue. It looks like bearings have issues at that specific rotation speed - resonance. I have tried different ESC's, with different firmware and the sound was there...same metal sound.
It's annoying if you match your hover throttle stick position to match this rotation speed.
Ignoring this the motors seems very good. I will get back once I get the chance to check them under load.

These are great motors for the price. Well balanced and very smooth (quality bearings ,used on sunnysky motors which are well regarded ) .Mounting hole pattern might seem odd but fitted perfectly on a tarot fy650.
Using t-props 12/5 " ,30a HK blue esc with SK firmw. , naza m , 5000mAh 4s
20c (the great value for $ ,hardcase for $25 ). No gimbles or fpv gear yet, getting a solid 17 minutes before LV warning (LV set at 14.2v ).
Overall ,great motor for multicopter, smooth and efficient with plenty of power.

This motor have some bag, in the middle throtle it have double current consuption. I have 4 of them for mu quad copter, but... i cant use it because all my esc cant operate with it. Esc: HK BS 12A (all timing)/flashing SK, Hobby wing 40a (all timing)/flashing SK.
Last step i rewinding one AaBbCc-AaBbCc-AaBbCc-AaBbCc try Y and Tr connection. With Y - it operate litle better like stock (Peack current go down in rpm), Tr - not useble.
SAVE you $, dont take it motor!
HK i whant refund, looks like rotor or stator have unnown defect.
PS i have Tarot 24-22(magnets) motor it operate pefectly Y connection 185 KV (i switched stok Tr 320KV -> Y185 KV)

Good prop mount, bearings acceptable, low vibration. Optimum "budget" motor, I have 12 units.
