More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!!

Spec.
Capacity: 4000mAh
Voltage: 3S1P / 3S Cell / 11.1V
Discharge: 35C Constant / 70C Burst
Weight: 335g (including wire, plug & case)
Dimensions: 152x49x21mm
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm Bullet-connector

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

  • Capacity (mAh) 4000.00
  • Discharge(c) 35.00
  • Max Charge Rate(C) 8.00
  • Length-A(mm) 152.00
  • Height-B(mm) 49.00

Battery arrived OK
voltage was 11.1V
Pack was balanced after 15min with LRP Balancer
Discharged pack with 8A till 9V
Charged pack with 1c (4.0A) resulted in a charge of 4155mA.
Very good battery.

This Li-Poly accu is very good. The size is very compact and this accu fits perfect into my Windrider Boeing 737. Both EDF engines are connected to one accu. I can fly 5 minutes with the 737 then i can charge about 2300 mAh into it. So 6 or 7 minutes of flying time would be possible with this great battery.

Well, I think this battery is quiet good. High discharge and good capacity. The only problem I faced is that voltage drop suddenly below 3.5V. My quad has warning at 3.5V and autoland at 3.2V. After I heard buzzer (3.5V) my quad fell down after 20seconds and battery voltage was abou 8V. Fortunetly batter works up to now.

These cells seem to be very variable in quality. I have had ten 3S 4000mAH 35-70C Nano-Tech packs for a Ripmax Spitfire. Current draw is typically 40A so the cells are not overstressed. Two packs were found to be 'dead on arrival' because the internal resistance was too high to allow the motor to run under load. Four packs died after only 20-25 charge cycles but four are still working after more than 40 charge cycles. However, the four packs that are still working do provide high performance when new, with very low internal resistance. Of the ten I bought, only four are now useable.

Great battery, mine weight 338 grams but not far off from what HK stated in their specs. I'm using a few of these on a quadcopter built around a 700 series frame, huge! The batteries have a high C rating of 35 - 70 and I hardly get an complaints from them when calling for full throttle. I highly can suggest these batteries...just wish they had XT60 connectors by default!
