More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.
For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Voltage: 5S1P / 5 Cell / 18.5V
Discharge: 45C Constant / 90C Burst
Weight: 583g (including wire, plug & case)
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm Bullet-connector
Suited to the following models: 5S x 2: MIKADO LOGO500SE/600/600SE, ALIGN T-REX600, Century Swift 620SE, Synergy E9
Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

I bought 2 of these Turnigy Nanotech 45C 4000mah 5S batteries to use in parallel on a 800mm hexacopter and, in parallel, I was barely able to pull 65pcnt of their capacity or about 5500mah. I was drawing around 30A on average with a high of around, burst, maybe 50A. Since I had them hooked up in parallel I was drawing half that per pack at a constant rate and I still only got 65pcnt, these are total garbage. You should be able to discharge a GOOD lipo pack down to 80pcnt of it's total rated capacity without over-discharging it. I would recommend against these."Caveat Emptor"
I am really upset to find out that one of my packs that I purchased about 6 months ago, with about 5 full cycles is puffed!! It has been sitting on a shelf with a partial charge for storage for about two months. Next to it is other turnigy packs(5.0 20c) that are over a year old, many cycles put through them and are rock hard.
I am going to try and contact HK, but judging from the previous comment , it looks like I am out of luck.Do not purchase these batteries. I have two and they have puffed even though I have not used them during a flight. HK just told me it was "too bad" even thought I registered them on purchase. Save yourself some money and go with another brand.Really great!
I love it with my A50 14SI owned 8 pieces and they are excellent on 600 size helis. Used them is series.Works great on my "Pursuit" racingboat with the 180A esc and 3674 size Leopard 1900kv motor. Great power, no overheating!Very very good Lipo Pack i will buy it again!!!!Sehr gute Akkus! Hatte nie bessere!hofman magnetics the beast, HET6904 edf unit, k-force 100amp with burst up to 150amp. This system draws abot 137amps and produces 2366watts.. This pack gets just a tad worm after a stressfull flight.5 stars easynice, finally osme 5s packs,
going to use in my sundowner with a eflight power 42,
should make enought power
