More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

Spec.
Capacity: 4500mAh
Voltage: 4S1P / 4S Cell / 14.8V
Discharge: 45C Constant / 90C Burst
Weight: 513g (including wire, plug & case)
Dimensions: 153x49x32mm
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm Bullet-connector

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

  • Capacity (mAh) 4500.00
  • Discharge(c) 45.00
  • Max Charge Rate(C) 10.00
  • Length-A(mm) 153.00
  • Height-B(mm) 49.00
  • Width-C(mm) 32.00

I have purchased 6 of these in the past year and cycled them around 10 times each. When new, they balanced out real nice. After only a handful of cycles, 2 of them have lost a cell, and will not balance. Yesterday I took the others out for test day, and 3 out of 4 puffed, and I assume the lost a cell that caused unusual drain, hence the puffing. I use the batteries in "P Limited" class NAMBA race boats, and we do push the limits of amp draw, but that is way to high of a failure rate. They say they are rated at 45 to 90c but I suspect that is way high. Our boats run around 60c to 100c bursts and these batteries come nowhere close! I have had better luck with 4000mah and 5000mah and lower c rated packs, this series just seems to be wonky. Too bad because they were very affordable.

I bought 8 of these batteries for my TREX 500 fitted with a Funky A109 fuselage. They are a perfect match for the model and give me around 14 minutes flight time although I expect for that to drop to 10 minutes after prolonged cycling. The same batteries also fit in my radjet giving me 7 minutes at flight speeds of 122 mph which by the way was measured using a police speed trap gun.

Those Nanotechs can't be beaten for their high quality at this level of price. Remain very well balanced over time. Go for it!

Well at least it didn't take months but the ripoff is complete. Purchased 2 of these. One was perfectly fine, the other has a cell that wont balance. Cell 1 is at 3.86 after the first balance and the others are at 4.23, 4.26, 4.24.
After discharging and re- balancing they got somewhat closer but not much. The pack will not charge to 16.8 without overcharging three cells. Sent a video of this to HK and they say the pack is not faulty. So now I get to keep a pack that might last 1 or two runs before cell 1 is gone. Needless to say that was my last purchase ever here. It was only my second in a year but I was about to start spending more here. I will eat that $57.43 for the cost of this lesson. At least venom/atomik will replace defective equipment when you provide the necessary showing it.

very good battery pack. I use it with a HK500 helicopter and Turnigiy 500 H3126 brushless motor with 1600kv. Further I use a Turnigy Brushless ESC 85A w/ 5A SBEC. There is enough power for about 20-25 minutes flight. It remains 30pcnt of battery capacity after this time. Excellent !

Well, I'm nearly 3 months into a simple return and HK couldn't be any slowly. Absolutely the worse customer service I've ever experienced. Can't get a straight answer to easy questions. They comment I've been credited but it never appears. Defintely have lost a good customer.

BEWARE! Purchased two and both had one cell that would not balance. After several discharges and rechanges they got close. After one run up on an EDF one cell on one of the batteries failed - read zero. Sending back for warranty. Will report back how HK handles it.
