More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipoly batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilising an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rates than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

Spec.
Capacity: 5000mAh
Voltage: 4S1P / 4 Cell / 14.8V
Discharge: 25C Constant / 50C Burst
Weight: 523g (including wire, plug & case)
Dimensions: 159x49x33mm
Balance Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: 4mm bullet-connector

Advantages over traditional Lipoly batteries;
• Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
• Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
• Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mO compared to that of 3mO of a standard Lipoly.
• Greater thermal control, pack usually doesn’t exceed 60degC
• Swelling during heavy load doesn’t exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly.
• Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
• Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
• Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultra-strong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.

These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

  • Capacity (mAh) 5000.00
  • Discharge(c) 25.00
  • Max Charge Rate(C) 5.00
  • Length-A(mm) 159.00
  • Height-B(mm) 49.00
  • Width-C(mm) 33.00

I use this pack with a Quanum 700 spider multi-rotor. It has plenty of punch for the weight of the battery. I recommend this battery and the Nanotech range.

Cells won't blance. There is 30mV difference between them. One is 4.20 as it should be when fully charged and another is 4.17 when fully charged. I think it is a lottery which one you get.

Bought 2 batteries, stored for a month while waiting for quadcopter. Both batteries then failed with one bad cell each. No warranty because warranty is for 1 month after purchase.

I'm going to have to cannibalize one of them to get a replacement cell for the other. I'm still a nanotech believer but I recommend purchasing at least the 35C versions. I'm guessing the ones that were binned as 25C are prone to failures.

Just received them, perfect battery!
Received within 3 days of ordering with GLS postal service.
Well balanced cells, measured with a calibrated Fluke 87-V TrueRMS multimeter, all cells were within the 3.822 - 3.825 range.

Very satisfied with these batteries! :)

I received my batteries after a long waiting almost 1 month due to local post delays. The measurements of all cells are 3.81-3.80 which is satisfying for me. I will test them in couple of days after changing the connectors but they seem to be in nice condition. More after the test

These Lipo's are really disappointing !!! After 10-times recharging they can't up the voltage anymore. Hobbyking was not willing to give any little reparation - all in all: NOT GOOD at all !!! :-(((

Very Nicely Packed in a box, and wrapped safely. According to me i think it weighs 10grms lesser per cell compared to its counter parts. But overall it still packs a punch. Very quality product. Definitely will buy again...
