Motor is ok. Simpler Brushless motor but is sufficient for my small park flyer. If you would like a better quality motor I would take a step up to a little bit more expensive Turnigy motor. Overall I have very good experiences with the Turnigy Brushless motors. The used Allen Keys are however 1 step too small from my opinion (1 mm).I chose this motor to match with my newly purchased Mini Crack Pitts Biplane. The motor that was recommended for this EPP shocky was too expensive, in my opinion. I've found that this Park250 motor works just fine without any problems at all. This is a fine motor as advertised.Runs like a champ on my scratch built, 3-channel twin tail-boom foamie trainer in a pusher configuration. Paired it with a HK Blue Series 12A ESC, Zippy 2S 800 & 1000mah packs, and a Gemfan 7x3.8SF trimmed down to 5.75" and the tips profiled like a stock one. That setup has more than enough power for a model with an AUW of 215 grams; I almost never go WOT, but it still stays pretty cool when I do!Very little high quality motor. Just be aware that to use (AFAIK) the Propadapter instead of the Prop Saver you have to push the Shaft trough (you can bend the shaft) or replace the shaft...These are quickly becoming my favourite motors. I have 2 of these on a park size cargo plane and it flies with ease. Also great for small scale warbirds.Grabbed this little motor for my Bonsai wing - right off the bat it was very difficult to mount properly. After managing to mount the thing the prop saver ended up being too small to be usable with any prop. Took a chunk out of the back of the wing from the prop wobbling around. Flipped it around and used it on my scratch build - on the maiden, it was more tail heavy than I expected, and backflipped, landing on the nose. This relatively slow drop from 2m managed to snap the shaft clean off. Oh well. I'd suggest grabbing the AX 2100kv motor for your Bonsai wing.
Anyway, if this motor is suitable for your uses - it does not come with pre soldered connectors. MAKE SURE you grab a 1.3mm hex wrench for the grub screws on the mount and supplied connectors, or you'll have a hard time getting it on your plane. The prop adapter is handy, but make sure the prop is spinning the opposite way of the thread, or it'll unscrew in flight.Unfortunately, I can't give this motor all 5's. As other reviewers have mentioned, unless it works for you as-is with the prop saver, buy another motor.
The hex wrench sizes for this motor are not supplied. They are microscopic to the point of being practically unobtainable. You need at least a 0.5mm - let me repeat, that's not 0.05" folks. It is a 0.5mm wrench that practically does not exist. It is not part of the standard DIN series of wrench/screw sizes.
Working past that problem by ignoring it, using the supplied prop adapter is virtually impossible. As other reviewers have stated, it is impossible to use the given shaft with the prop saver. I destroyed my motor just trying to remove the shaft - and I do this on other motors on a regular basis. Unfortunately, just a cheap knockoff. The bell housing is actually two pieces press fit together - the rim and the face. It came apart while extracting the shaft. I ended up with a fistful of broken parts. Oh, well.
Use this motor if you are ok with the prop saver setup. I will try to use the other of the two I bought from HK this way.The Motor itself is great. I used it for a beginners microquad. With 3S and 5045 props it has plenty of thrust for a small quad. Motor gets only a little warm. The only serious downside is the included prop adapter. It is garbage. Do not use them as the shaft hole is highly eccentrical and the headless screw is way to weak to fix the adapter on the shaft while tightening the wingnut.
