Low self discharge AA NiMH battery. Great for transmitters, fuel pumps, glow starters or other low discharge electronics that you want to use over several months without having to recharge. Low-Self-Discharge NiMH batteries utilise a new technology that helps the battery retain it's charge. In fact these LSD batteries can stay charged for over a year without losing more than 30% of their charge. Normal NiMH batteries would lose nearly 100% of their charge over 12 months.

NiMH batteries are rechargeable and are fantastic for commonly-used or high-drain devices. Many battery applications are compatible with NiMH rechargeable batteries, however they are best-suited for vehicles that require large amounts of energy and are frequently used.

Specifications:
Category: AA batteries
Capacity: 2550mAH
Voltage: 1.2V
Chemistry: NiMH (LSD)

Dimensions: 51x14mm

We guarantee our cells are true to their capacity!

Sadly battery marketing is an evil game, with overstated capacity being the industry norm. Generally speaking, battery factories will suggest vendors to overstate the capacity by at least 30%, marking 1800mAh cells with 2300mAh labels or more! While this might work for toy stores, such marketing tactics wouldnt survive 1 week in our store with customer feedbacks and reviews, and thats why we guarantee our TURNIGY 2550mAh NiMH cells to be at least 2550mAh!

I can't comment on the long term quality, but initial tests show they are pretty close to rated capacity at 0.5C discharge. Also much cheaper than any high street brands.

You know how it is right? You know you bought plenty but you can't find them ... Well get some more! Yeah two flashlights need 6 cells, have 4 in my Orange transmitter that continue to hold their charge after a year ...geezzzz has it been that long since I flew my quad? And they are on SALE so get some ... Christmas is coming! For some strange reason I have plenty of AAA cells but not enough AA cells. They take a few charge discharge cycles to reach full capacity, been buying only these for years, and they are on SALE!

I've used these in my Tx and other equipment and find them really good quality, provided they are well charged. Some AA chargers do not have the capacity to charge an AA battery of 2500mA capacity, be aware of that.
In a four battery Tx, where hard to retrofit a LiFe pack, they are a good option. Almost as good as Enlopes and far better that ebay crap. 4 x gives a full voltage of 5.4V, after a couple of hours active use down to 5.1V and hold down to 3.6V (Tx left on for two days, resting - oops- low voltage alarm warned me).

I have purchased these Low Self Discharge ( LSD ) Nickel Metal Hydride ( NiMH ) batteries before when they were offered as 2400mAh. However, now they have been improved to a rating of 2550mAh and I have noticed they have a better power output and last even longer between charges. I use my standalone NiMH charger and they charge-up fine within approximately an hour and hold their charge much longer than any non-LSD NiMH battery ever will. My main use for these LSD batteries has been in my Turnigy TGY-i6 transmitter and Kodak digital camera. For both applications the batteries last an extensive period between charges. These newer 2550mAh LSD batteries have been even a greater boost to my digital camera which drains non-LSD NiMH batteries at a much faster rate.
