Upgrade your 50cc size gas engine model with the Turnigy RotoMax 50cc Brushless outrunner motor. This motor will provide clean and efficient power for your large scale aircraft without the mess and hassle of nitro fuel.
When combined with a 10s Lipoly battery, 24x12/26x12" Propeller and a 180Amp ESC the RotoMax motor will supply punchy, responsive power that only an electric setup can provide.
This motor is specifically suited for carbon fiber & wooden propellers and features an IC style 4 bolt hole design. The shaft has also been tapped to suit a 4mm bolt to make fitting a spinner of your choice easy.

10s SLS X-tron 5000mAh (35V under load)
20x12 Fiala elektro 3-blade prop
75A for more or less the same performance as the MenzS 3-blade prop (review below) so I'm sticking with Fiala prop. Much more efficient!
Motor is still running great...10s SLS X-tron 5000mAh (35V under load)
20x12 MenS 3-blade
motor temp <50°c
note: not using Tunigy Lipo's anymore, the voltage drop is too big, some 10s packs even drop to 30V after +/-30 cycles! The initial purchase price of SLS lipo's is double but you do triple the cycles on those so...So far, so good...
Using on a MRAerodesign Pilatus Porter +/-10kg 3m as glider tow.
Setup: K-force 120A, 12S 4000mAh Lipo & 20x12 MenzS 3blade. Drawing +/-95A peak on take-off. Motor feels warm to the touch but cooling is sufficient. Motor runs smoothly and is well balanced.IM HAPPY IS TOO POWERFULL
IM FLYING WITH IT IN A EDGE 540 2200 MM 8 KG ANDROID CAPABLE 3D
IM SATISFIEDTried it yesterday some minutes with 23x8 woodprop. Batteries: 2x Zippy 5s1p 5000mAh 40C. Current: max. 78A Voltage: 38V at full throttle. Power: 2870 Watt. Iwill try it again with a biela 20x10 4blade prop.(haven't received it yet).I am running this on a 27pcnt Cap-232 Using 10s 5000 Lipo, 180 Amp Yep ESC, and a 22X8 prop. I get explosive response and vigorous unlimited vertical. Smooth throttle-up and about 8 minutes of hard-driving flight. I am very pleased with this motor.I have had this motor for some time now, powering my 1/3 scale Piper Cub, driving a Turnigy 24x12 prop on 10 Cells. About 115 Amps, 4800 watts on full throttle on freshly charged batts. It has operated flawlessly, and the quality of construction seems very good. I am completely satisfied with it.My electric motorsport team used this motor to great effect on our E-bike and also on a Kepler style Friction Drive:
