The RotorStar Dual Power 15A Voltage Regulator is a twin linear regulator which can supply stable voltage and current to your servos directly. This isolates the servo power from the receiver making your connection safer and more reliable. With high performance models today such as .90/700 class helicopters requiring high power servos, the RotorStar Regulator makes for the perfect component power supply.

At present, extreme 3D flying is becoming more and more popular. As a result, the request for high performance servos is constantly growing. One of the factors which influence the performance of servos such as these is being able to provide a stable, reliable power supply. The RotorStar Regulator can supply stable power to CCPM servos by allowing a direct connection of the servo to the regulator and can also avoid external noise caused by reverse electromotive force.

This device also includes an optional low voltage alarm/LED board which can easily alert you to a low voltage condition of your input battery. It features a super bright white LED that can be seen even during sunny conditions. A great way to monitor your RX battery's status.

Features:
• Stable, reliable power supply for your servos/receiver
• 10A continuous/15A max servo current capability
• Dual power output for servos and receiver
• Selectable servo output voltage 5.2V/6V/6.8V/7.4V/8.4V

Unit defective. Could have caused a serious accident. Won't bother with an RMA because this only cost me $23.00. Weary of Rotor Star and Turnigy products, although the Turnigy servos i use have not failed yet. Spend your hard earned money on a Hobbywing 10A UBEC instead of this.

I have this installed on my KDS 550, N680 HV servos on 6.8V setting and an Ebar plus AR6200 spectrum with satellite receiver and N690 on the 5.2v side. All seems OK but did burn out 2 N680HV with setup. The battery is a bit light for this unit but will upgrade it to higher discharge or just fit a few capacitors. Will post on further findings so far so good.

Some days ago i received my unit , i tried it on my TREX 600 nitro modified.Trex 600Nitro flybarless Head Vstabi .Very nice Voltage regulator, non problem for overheat or electric jamming with the Vstabi or the receiver Futaba 2,4 Ghz. Really a good product.

Well what can I say... I have had a circa 6 flights (with plenty pitch pumping) with this and it seems great. Hopefully I am not speaking too early. On the work bench, if I do a lot of stick banging - pitch and tail, then the heat sink gets pretty hot! I hope this is not an issue. On the work bench there is no air flow, but then little resistance too. In the air you have the air flow to cool the heat sink and more resistance.

Now in fairness it only gets really hot when do plenty stick banging. Otherwise it remains just mildly warm when not going crazy on the tranny.

I am running a T-Rex 600N FBL 3 x DS610's and 1 x DS650 directly connected to the Rotorstar. Then connected to the receiver ports, is a Skookum SK540FBL with a DS620 connected to the Skookum for the throttle.

The pin flag works really well. I also have Spektrum telemetrics connected and it shows a steady 5.1v to the Skookum. I have not yet hooked it up to the servo ports as I need all four ports for the servos and no space for telemetrics.

All in all, this is great value for money compared to the GVR-7020. I just hope the quality is the same as the GVR-7020 and I don't lose my bird by by saving $60.
